Welcome to my world!
I once had a geometry teacher who wrote in my yearbook that I lived in my own little world. He was absolutely right.
As a very right-brained & visual person, art has always been a part of my life. I went to my first outdoor arts & crafts show in 1968, long before they became a dime a dozen. I was enthralled by what I saw, especially work by a local artist...Dianne Dengel. I had never seen anything like her dolls.
I went right home & made my first doll...a crude attempt at best, but I was hooked.

Over the years I have delved into just about every medium & technique known to man. Now, 40 years later (how could that be? I'm only 29) I have returned to dolls. I get to do everything I love...sew, sculpt, paint & use my imagination!
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has appreciated my dolls so much that they want to share their home with them. Drop me a line if you feel so inclined...I'd love to chat.

Some of my favorite doll artists are:
Lisa Lichtenfels, Shelley Thornton, Kaf Grimm (oldecapeprimitives), Jo & Dylan (cartbeforethehorse), Robert McKinley, Helen Kish, Nancy Wiley, Bill Nelson, Jill Willich, Annette Himstedt, Jan McLean, Hildegard Gunzel, Noelle Falvo (trickystitchesprimitives), R. John Wright, Monika, Scott Gray, Sandra Justiss & on & on & on.
FYI:
A note of importance...with the new legislation (CPSIA, Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) becoming effective February 10, 2009 I must state that my dolls are not playthings for children. My dolls are one of a kind art dolls meant for display only. As far as I am aware, my dolls do not contain anything which is harmful, even so, they are not meant to be used as toys. I construct my dolls using all new materials unless otherwise stated, ie: vintage buttons, lace, fabric, etc. as clothing occasionally.
We are all concerned about safety for our children, especially in light of recent incidents regarding lead contamination in painted toys & melamine tainted dairy products. These & other incidences were the catalyst for the enactment of the CPSIA legislation.
