The Biblical Resource Center & Museum, located in Collierville, Tennessee, was chartered in 1995 and officially opened to the public in July 1997. Since that time, the museum has sought to "present to the public, and especially young people, the historical, geographical and cultural context of the original documents of the Bible." We are a non-profit, non-denominational organization that opens the world of ancient Mediterranean, Egyptian, and Near Eastern cultures of Bible times to students of the Hebrew and Christian scriptures.
Since opening our doors, the museum has been active in the community providing:
- Exhibits including ancient artifacts and replicas
- Adult lectures
- Archaeological Digs
- Mummy Workshops
- Bible Story Times
- Bible Lab a self paced study of the Bible
- Educational tours for school age children and/or adults that include a slide presentation and hands-on activities.
- Library including multi-media materials such as books, videos, audio tapes, and cd-roms that offer educational and research opportunities
- Museum Store educational material pertaining to the Bible the ancient Mediterranean, Egyptian, and Near Eastern cultures of Bible times.
- Study tours to ancient Biblical sites in Greece, Turkey and Israel.
- Membership opportunities that support the operations of the organization with quarterly newsletters, museum store discounts and the satisfaction of bringing the world of the Bible to hundreds of young people every year.
