ABOUT AUTHOR SIGNED AND INSCRIBED BOOKS: How is it we find so many author signed and inscribed books? Santa Fe has the largest per capita number of published authors of any city in the U.S. It is also a major world art center featuring over 250 art galleries. Santa Fe is also a book town; there are TONS of good books here. There are several local presses as well as a great many book readers and collectors here. Many Santa Feans are widely traveled which is why we encounter a large number of foreign press books here. In addition we have several excellent independent local bookstores which continuously feature public booksignings by authors from around the world. Additionally, as many folks know, in proportion to its size Santa Fe has an inordinate number of famous and semi-famous full and part time residents who are generally left unmolested here by paparazzi and the locals. New Mexico AKA Tamalewood is increasingly chosen as the site of boutique and major motion picture productions. As a result of the above Santa Fe is a great place to find books signed by artists, activists, historians, musicians, movie stars, scientists, lecturers, celebrities, authors and other prominent people. Many local prominent or semi-famous residents occasionally conduct their own estate or yard sales. We are not among the prominent or the rich which is why we are selling on eBay to help defray the high cost of living here!

99% of our books are purchased from Santa Fe estates and other local sales; a tiny portion come from sales in Albuquerque. Unless we are certain of a book's provenance or we actually witness a signing we cannot guarantee it's authenticity; we do not have time to research the signature of each book except with high end items. Author book signings are not uncommon nowadays, especially in Santa Fe, one of the world's top travel destinations. Authors from all over are usually very happy to make a promotional signing trip to Santa Fe. If you are an author of one of the signed books we offer and you did not sign it please advise us so that we can make a pertinent note in the corresponding listing.
