Great Ebay presentations by Bill Dawes

Handsome and effective listings my specialty.
After reading hundreds of ads on Ebay, I found that usually the information I needed to make intelligent bids just wasn't there. So, I decided to do the listings for two things I had to sell to leave no questions in the mind of the buyer.

Designs for the widest possible audience.
My sites are designed to be effective for a wide audience, who may have systems that are several years old. You will find that

  • Pages load fast at ordinary modem speeds. Graphics are tailored for fast loading, small icons or thumbnail pictures are widely used.
  • I use 'tables', but no 'frames' on most pages: Netscape or Internet Explorer based browsers with versions 2 or higher will work fine. Content stands on its own: cute and fancy things that don't work EVERYWHERE are avoided!
  • Pages allow for comfortable viewing on screen widths of 640 or 800 pixels, common on older computers.
  • Colors are selected for good compatibility with 256 color VGA systems... though, of course, they often look better with more colors.
  • Unique icon buttons and bars make our pages easy to navigate.

Ad for my Hohner Vienna button accordion
Includes .WAV files playing each button, and me playing the instrument. This ad created a sensation on the newsgroup rec.music.makers.squeezebox... see the whole thread at this link:  A button box on Ebay that's listed RIGHT...  last I looked, there were 24 messages posted about it. You cannot BUY that kind of advertising at ANY price!
