About Myself

I was born in Austin, Texas on March 1, 1948 and lived in central Texas until August, 1999 when I moved to Brunswick,Maine. If interested, my professional life is viewable on my website.

I am usually very easy going. However, I am really turned off by intolerance, be it racial, religious, gender or age related, or otherwise. We all have our personal prejudices, but civilized people learn to control them - only barbarians and sub-humans commit acts in support of their bigotry.

Philatelic Interests

 I have collected stamps since I was 10 years old - started out with a box of mixed foreign and US my mother had accumulated over the years. I have always had a fascination with the little pieces of paper - they all seem to tell a story.

I now collect whatever excites me at the moment; now its pre-1940 US and WW. I also have a fascination with the definitive series of the British Commonwealth through 1970. I am an accumulator and enjoy purchasing and going through old collections and job lots.

I also accumulate philatelic ephemera through my purchases, most of which usually end up on eBay to support my philatelic addiction. More particularly, I find myself in possession of a great number of postcards, both domestic and foreign.
