I live in Brooklyn, New York and I am YOUR connection to the New York thrift stores. I know it's hard for everyone to make the trip and time to cull through the racks and mounds of clothes at the thrift store --- so I do it for you! I go several times a week, to thrift stores all over the city , and I pick out my favorite pieces. (I try to get items in ALL sizes.) I come home and put the clothes up on E-bay for you to look through - easy breezy.

ABOUT THE CLOTHES:

The clothes are all used unless otherwise specified. Even the items that I embellish are originally used (i love to recycle things :). On my auctions, I try to find all signs of wear and tear and take pictures, so there should be no surprises, when your item arrives in the mail.

ABOUT SHIPPING:

Shipping costs are determined by weight. Please refer to the chart on the individual auction page. I do combine shipping - so the more you buy, the cheaper per item the shipping becomes. I also DO add a handling fee (though, it is small). It helps me pay for things such as packaging materials and transportation to/from the post office and thrift stores, since I have to use the subway.

ABOUT REFUNDS:

ALL SALES ARE FINAL .... UNLESS, I make a mistake in describing the item; then, of course, I will offer you a discount and/or refund. Unfortunately, I simply cannot afford the shipping for refunds due to the item not fitting (there are no dressing rooms here :). In order to help you figure out whether or not the item wil fit, I always include measurements in the auctions - and am HAPPY to remeasure upon request or do additional measuring - just e-mail me.

HOW TO INTERPRET THE MEASUREMENTS

It has recently come to my attention that some people are confused by the measurements - so here are some tips!

* All measurements are taken with the item lying flat on the floor. For example, if I say the bust is 36 inches around, that means, it measured 18 inches across the front (armpit to armpit) and 18 inches across the back (armpit to armpit). THIS SHOULD NOT BE YOUR MEASUREMENT.

Think of the clothing as a shell - your body should be SMALLER than the item you are trying to put on it. Therefore, if the item has a 36 inch bust - YOU should have a 35-34 inch bust, depending on the fabric (of course, if it is stretchy and you want to wear the item tight, you have take that into consideration).

* An easy way to match up clothes online with clothes that fit you is to measure your favorite item at home and compare it with the e-bay item for sale. For example, lay your favorite shirt on the floor - and measure it straight across the bust (underarm to underarm) and straight across the waist - and use THOSE measurements as a guide when buying online. Please, feel free to e-mail me with your measurements and I can help you figure it out. Since I can't take your measurements myself, however - ultimately, the responsibility for making good fit decisions are your own.

DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM ORDERS?

If you want me to look for something while I'm shopping in the thrift stores, I certainly will. However, there is no obligation on either side. If what you are looking for is not in the thrift store, then it's just not there, and I can't make it be there (so you can't be mad at me for not finding it, ok? :) I'll do my best). Likewise, if I find an item you wanted - I will e-mail you about it and list it on e-bay, but you are in no way obligated to buy it (it may not be exactly what you wanted, wrong color, or you already found what you were looking for). This is more of a courtesy than a service. i'm glad to do it, just realize that it's based a lot on LUCK :)
