Hello, I'm Denise and I love my angora rabbit herd. I have a hobby that processes their wooly coats into a beautiful yarn to knit or crochet into super-soft items of comfort and warmth. I raise the big and beautiful German Angora rabbit, there is no more efficient animal for the growing of their precious wool coats. Angora wool is the softest natural fiber that I know of, and when spun into yarn is most enjoyable to work with. I raise the animals, routinely shear them of their fiber, collect and sort the wool, card and spin the wool, and dye if I want to try a different color. I love natural colors. Meanwhile I tend my herd and make sure they are well-cared for as they continue to grow fiber.

Alongside the Germans I have a few English to cross for color and density in the wool, and I have bought three really nice Germans with imported bloodlines to build up a flock of fantastic fiber animals. You can read more about the German in our yahoo group at the link below.
I also carry a wonderful yarn of 85% machine spun angora/15% merino sheep wool yarn, a wonderful 2-ply for fine knitting. To get this yarn done was a worthwhile effort of saving up my precious white German Angora fiber and sending it to a wool mill in the Midwest along with fellow IAGARB raisers. The result is beautiful and well-worth the extra efforts.
Any knitted objects I sell are completely handmade by me and I base prices on how much angora I used and how long it took to make. I am email freindly, I love to hear from other rabbit ranchers, and I use the profits to the rabbits greater good. We are now working towards a bigger, better rabbit barn.
The new year will be bringing my store to a new location, Etsy.com. I will still continue to auction on Ebay.
