I am truly back to EBay and selling my favorite things namely movies and games. I will continue to add to my inventory over the coming weeks and having fun doing this once again. A break did me a world of good and finishing up my education and moving more towards a business mindset has really helped me focus better on my selling goals and the fun factor of finding deals.

The month of August has been slow due to me being busy with regular family things, work and school. I am getting ready for the holiday season and will be very busy with Ebay in the coming months. My future goal is to revamp my Ebay store and make it look alot better.

1. Corvette(had one, but useless with a family).
2. Bmw 540/740I (got one, fast yet can seat five)
3. Bmw X5 (Trading my Navigator in next year for this fast suv, can't wait)
4. Camaro 5.7(had one very fun)
5. Firebird 5.7(had one, same fun factor as a Camaro)
6. Porsche 911 (maybe one of these days)
7. Mercedes 500 series(Same as 540I, rear wheel drive sedan, that fast & sporty)
8. 1980's Jaguar XJS ( V12 James Bond looking car)
9. Suburu Wrx(All wheel drive sports car)
10. Nissan 350z(poor man's Porsche)

       Hey everyone!  I have slowed adding listings down due to school. I will be picking up again in the begining of the month. What else has happened? I just picked up a Popup trailer for camping, will be going camping next week. My 540I is in the shop getting a new paint/bodywork job(black the same). I ordered a performance chip from Ebay Seller(Wokke), if you don't have one get one. I sold my Mercedes 190E it took me forever to sell it too, but is gone.. Wife got a new job( really great job), and I'm probaby be transfering out my position and doing college case management. Additionally, I don't work for the Feds anymore was to time consuming when it came to also attending school/other job.

                                  Ebay has been doing really good and my items sales have been really brisk. My inventory had been low for a week. One of my kids were out of school so was just relaxing around the house taking a mini break focusing on school. I just added about 120 dvds, so getting busy again. My store sales have been steady and really like my store. I'm trying to make it look nicer to.

                      You seefeedback number it has really built up, so have my sales. I have more loyal customers.  I'm going for my 5000 mark now that is my personal business goal. I think peopl buy from me because I really like what is sell. I may rant against a regular job that is really lame and boring. But I do not dislike the people I meet on here. You can always tell an entrepreneur and I really like talking to those with goals, dreams and taking the step towards them(not just talk). That is what I really like the community of sellers, especially the new ones. I really like talking to you so ready to go and make thiings happen for yourself. Never lose that spirit, if you fail look at the reason in a honest way. Learn from past mistakes and come back stronger, don't become offended by criticism either, learn from it. You will be better in the long run. Happy selling.

 Ebay!! I'm a back after trying my hand at Amazon I have realized I really love the auction. I have found my passion again for this, for the last 6-9 months I have basically just been doing the boring Amazon thing(boring email please ship, no interaction with consumer, blah, blah), letting my stock build up until I'm like !Oh my God! my house is turning into a warehouse. This is month is rocking, I still have about 500-600 vhs to put up for auction(built up over my Amazon days and my Ebay store), so be patient will be listing lots of these. Not to mention 1000 plus books(my back is already hurting thinking about them), but I'm going for the silver(powerseller that is) was mine will be mine again. Thanks to all the customers new and old for your purchases and time you have taken to look at my listings. Each week I will try and add at least 60-100 more dvds and bulk lots of vhs. I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

9/12/2006 Update

 This month has been busy here, I have closed Amazon account (though supposed to be closed I still keep selling and I email them to not and to delist my inventory) some , but not as many buyers. I have realized though Amazon maybe easier to list I enjoy Ebay ,the community of buyers and sellers. I want my Powerseller status back,  was focusing on Amazon or would still be one. It may seem kinda of lame but was really proud when was a silver Powerseller here, especially when considering that for most part I sell dvds, and one man operation. The main advantage of Ebay is Paypal, it is alot easier to keep track of items shipped and those waiting to be shipped. Amazon does not have which can be a real hassle for a small seller that sell hundreds of movies a month.

 I think my strongest selling point as a seller, is I will try and get an item in the mail the night of payment(ready to ship in the morning). I closed my store due to fees and inventory can really just sit if not a very rare item. Not a rant about Ebay just helped realize an error in my business strategy. Which was really getting back to what I enjoy about Ebay the "auction".

    I am employed outside of just Ebay, but this is my passion. I can talk for hours on end about things related to Ebay. Ebay has helped me gain the knowledge that I have needed to become a better internet seller, cut costs and turn a profit.  I have been able to do things in my life that would not be possible if not for Ebay. I live by the creed of "Work smarter not harder", my main goal is to spend time with my family. That is what Ebay has given me the ability to do.

      Before filing non-paying bidder form on buyer make sure that you have all the facts. Work with buyer, I have few and far between ever had to use, sometimes people have to wait to get paid or just make a mistake. Always remember you could be in placed in a position where money you thought was coming did not.

         I must say that I feel I have grown up with Ebay, started out with a 486mhz computer way back when. I love cars right now have a Lincoln Navigator and a little benz (for restoration). Additionally, looking at buying a muscle car trying to be patient and wait for new Challenger in 2008. I also love videogames and most important my spouse (honeybuns) lol. Additionally, we just bought our first house here in the Denver area. I also enjoy fishing, sports and general things late 20's early 30's men like to do. Secondly, have three kids(twins and a rugrat), which keep me busy.

    I work very hard(but smart), my spouse is a registered nurse and we try to give are kids everything possible within the guidelines of knowing that hard work is how they recieved these things not being lazy. All my kids get good grades and are active in sports thanks to me but especially my spouse. I thank God for what he has given me, my spouse is my foundation, my personal winning lottery ticket, the one who truelly makes me strive to be a winner. If you have someone in your life such as this don't take them for granted, if not find that person life is to short.

  I will not rant against Ebay, fees are high but a business must adjust, be it Ebay itself or seller that fees affect. I sell on here out of love, I love horror movies I grew up on them. I would love to see those who are my age when they recieve a scary movie from there childhood in the mail. Remembering back sitting on mom or pops lap eyes half closed scared to watch but not wanting to turn away. May these movies bring back those years that were happy in your childhood or a positive memory of a parent that is no longer with you or just thousands of miles away back to you. Remember, enjoy and I hope happiness finds you in whatever you do within your life and those around you.

I am still selling on Half.com, but finishing up my second Masters and riding out the bad economy.

 To the new sellers that are struggling right now, there is hope at the end of the tunnel.

I lost money in the beginning, swindled, ripped off, paid to much etc., but I learned. You do not have to go through this in the begining if you use the community board, research and just see what people write in their successes and errors. Learn from others will help you a long way.

   One last point of advice is do not waste your profit in the beginning continue to flip it to a sizeable amount prior to buying things for youself(leisure). In 2002-03 I ended up with a Cadillac, Firebird and Camaro all at the same time sitting in my driveway all paid for in cash. Be frugal and smart in the beginning. It could be mistakes made becouse I was like 26-27, but it was also mistakes that made me have to go back to work. Older now so bought me a little car for good mpg to work, post office and small auction purchases. Bought a Suv for winter, big purchases and leisure. Most older sellers new and old will probably know this but younger ones this might help you when those auctions start flying and your Paypal starts ballooning. Patients Grasshopper(lol),
