Welcome to our freshly-updated web site offering a wide assortment of scarce comic books and related material.In order to stay competitive in a post-eBay/CGC world, I try to specialize these days in the scarce and obscure while also fielding a decent representation of traditional super hero staples. Having been in this hobby for over 40 years, I know where a lot of out-of-print stuff lives.

It has been a long strange journey for me in the comics business since I set up at my first comicon in Houston, Texas in June 1967 as a 14 year old teenager, full of enthusiaism for all things comics following a 28 hour Greyhound bus ride from here in Fremont. I co-opened my first comic book store way back in August 1972 in Berkeley with Bud Plant and John Barrett. Within a year, we had a chain operation in 3 more Bay Area locations. Since then, the business has metamorphed wildly over the decades. I operated comics-oriented stores for some 22 years in the Bay Area before deciding to spend more time concentrating on comics history research for an upcoming comprehensive comics business history book I hope to finish up soon. Your thoughts, offers and steady orders over the years have been deeply appreciated. Much of the funds I raise go into funding my research.
