Blossoms Little Things

I love to sew! I made my first doll skirt when I was 7 yrs old out of a scrap of blue corderoy. My father threaded a sewing needle and we sat on the living room floor in Chippewa Falls Wisconsin and proceeded to conform the scrap into something great. I was so amazed that I have not put down my sewing needles since. It is now 49 years later and there is never enough time in a day to get all the things sewn that I want to do. I have one entire room in my home floor to ceiling with storage drawers full of fabric, patterns, ribbons, buttons, lace, all the trappings of a lifelong hobby. Sewing clothes for American Girl Dolls is my favorite thing to work on, but the cute little Cabbage Patch Clothes I make are a lot of fun too. I am so glad I have an outlet like ebay to peddle my wares.


I also love miniature dollhouses. I have 6 huge dollhouses taking up most of the lower basement area. I have decorated three and working on the others, sewing curtains & bedding, wallpapering, painting, carpeting and buying furniture for them .  Sometimes I like to just sit there and look into them and daydream while I straighten them up after the grandkids had been here and had thier heavy hands on everything. Nothing a little glue can't fix is what I always say. It is so much fun though to watch the kids play make believe with the miniatures. Gives me a good excuse to join in the fun.
