This Ebay Boutique is owned and operated by a mother and daughter design team. Samantha Juste Dolenz (mother) and Ami Bluebell Dolenz (daughter) www.amidolenz.com. You can tell where the name for the Boutique came from!
Ami is an accomplished actress, her grandmother and mother where her first influences towards design. They learned early in Ami's life not to forget to take the Crayolas on any trip they wanted to enjoy.
Grandmother Phyllis Slater was a very accomplished dress maker and helped many Hollywood celebrities to design their clothes.
Mother Samantha born in Manchester, England also had a lot of influence from Phyllis who spent many hours designing and making clothes for her as she was growing up. The three of them lived together in Hollywood for many happy years.
Samantha's design career started with 2 years at Rochdale College of Art in the North of England, studying textile and dress design. Then four years as a leading London fashion model and assistant host of a BBC TV show called 'Top Of The Pops' (Samantha Juste)
Samantha met and married Micky Dolenz, a Monkee in a rock and roll band (she has heard all the banana jokes ever written) and later gave birth to their daughter Ami.
While living in Hollywood, Samantha designed a line of clothing, which was sold through two boutiques called 'One of a Kind' which she owned and operated.
Samantha eventually relocated her fashion business in 1976 to Acapulco, Mexico where she started her own factory and expanded to three boutiques called 'Samantha Juste'. After selling her business in Mexico she spent time in Southern Ireland and received a grant to teach design and produce hand knitwear.
Samantha has always been fascinated with beads and bead work and has used many beading techniques in designing clothes and knitwear. She is now living in Los Angeles permanently and is excited to join with Ami and help design unique jewelry, for the new Ebay 'Bluebell Boutique'.
Ami and Samantha hope you will enjoy their efforts and look forward to getting to know some of you through their mutual love and appreciation of baubles, bangles and bright shiny beads.
