Many fine ladies of the Victorian Era, found it a cherished pastime. With today's modern electric kilns, the result in the finished product is just wonderful and supercedes the firing process of the antique porcelain pieces! The paints are called mineral paints and are fired into the glaze on each piece and will never fade. The color is permanent. Each piece is shiny like the old limoge pieces and other fine china. The pieces I paint are true treasures and heirlooms to be passed down to the next generation. Please browse through the different categories in my eBay Store. I have been doing decorative painting for over 30 years and began china painting on porcelain about 7 years ago. Some of the porcelain and ceramic items, I've created from start to finish. In the past, I've attended many art and craft shows, selling my artwork and taught ceramic classes. In the past, I have had the pleasure to have my "Mallard Decoy Duck" on the cover of Ceramic Arts & Crafts Magazine, and won several blue ribbons for my ceramic artwork. I was honored to have my "Pink Rose Shabby Chic oval Box" displayed at the WOCP (World of China Painters) Museum in Oklahoma, and my box was featured in the "The China Painter", July/August 2008, issue. I am a member of the W.O.C.P., and "Woods & Water Porcelain Artists", (A Michigan Chapter of W.O.C.P.). Painting on porcelain and china is my passion. It takes a lot of hours, creating my pieces. It involves many painting sessions, for each piece. It is then fired in my electric kiln. The china colors are painted and fired many times to complete the item. Personal Notes about me: I reside in a beautiful small town, in upper Michigan. I live with my husband, John and our sweet pet collie, who is now 10 years old. I have been happily married to my wonderful husband and best friend, for 45 years and we live on several acres in the country, where wild life abounds.
