 5. PartyTentCity.com tents are a great multi-use long-term low priced investment.  It doesn cost much more to own a party tent than to rent one in your city. Share a party tent with a friend and use it during the entire year. This kit is for a frame tent. It includes everything you need except it does NOT include the pipe you purchase locally at Home Depot or Lowes. It is too heavy to ship. Ask your home convenience store for 1EMT electrical conduit. They are only available in 10 ft. long sections. The price on EMT pipe has  change recently. Shop around for the best price.   (Be very careful about buying a complete tent that has to be imported. The transportation costs and import fees to get a tent to you from overseas could be many times the price advertised. Check if those tents are modular.  Ask if they are interchangeable with similar tents of different sizes for use throughout the year.)
6. Optional Items to make your installation a lot easier:
A.   Pipe cutter and a pipe vise set. It is a professional type. This highly recommended set is only  $30.00. The cut edge from a pipe cutter is smoother and safer than a hacksaw or a chop saw.
B.   A $9 grommet kit comes with 25 to 30 extra grommet parts for special customizing your tent.  Our tarps do have grommets on all 4 sides.

D. A Rubber Mallet $8.00 saves putting dents in your pipe.

 7. The attachment-spread sheet sent with this letter is mostly for gable roof tents. There are a few hip, pyramid and dome tents on the bottom part of the spreadsheet.  Most of the tent diagrams and photos show a gable roof, the easiest and most flexible type of tent to assemble. 8. We do have hardware in stock to build the hip, pyramid, dome tents, backyard movie screens and golf driving range rain-shade shelters. The hip roof requires that we use high peak 30-degree hardware. Most models posted shown use low peak 12 degree angle hardware.  The pyramid and hip roof tents are more complex to assemble because there are several angles that require the pipe to be cut exactly so it will fit together properly. Our pyramid and hip roofs use a square or rectangular tarp and where there will be gathered corners  like a sheet on a bed for the excess tarp  The dome tent is a lot easier to build. The same hardware can be used to make it  20wide using a 30 tarp, 25 feet wide with a  40tarp or 30 feet wide using a 50 ft tarp. The wider it is the taller it will be.  You can have 7,8,9,10 or 11 fittings per truss. Trusses can be place 40 or 60nbsp;apart. We now have a dome model that will span 40 ft with the trusess only  20" apart for strength plus extra cross fittings to ad strength. Dome tent  34 to 40 ft cost a lot more because of the extra hardware used to make  the 40 ft. span.
9. I CANNOT tell you the exact size to cut each pipe because tarp sizes are NEVER exact or the same. The footprint size of your tent is variable depending on the size tarp you use. You will never know the exact size of your tarp until you take it out of the sealed bag and measure it.  What is printed on the package is an approximation. I do not open the sealed packages and measure it. Our low peak gable fittings are 12 degrees. We do have 30 degree high peak fittings on models up to 20 ft wide. Some of the high peak parts will be at a $2 higher price. All connectors have about 3 inches of adjustment on each port.
 10. Party Tent City has the most flexible sturdy tent set up on the market. Package kits DO NOT Include pipe, stakes or weigh downs. Any tent manufactured is susceptible to high winds or hurricanes. If they are properly tied or weighed down, they will withstand a certain amount of wind, but there are limitations and there are wind gusts. We sell frame tents so you can simply remove the tarp covering in a few minutes and roll it up by removing the ball bungees if you are anticipating high winds. The metal frame without the tarp will withstand just about any wind except a tornado . On a pole tent (WHICH WE DO NOT SELL) the tarp holds the legs up so if one leg is removed or if a stake comes loose the entire pole tent may collapse.

Your order can be customized further from this wide selection.  Gable models can be super reinforced (SR) for 20span, Super Duper (SD) for poles every 10 ft., (SRV or SDV) with a Valance and with side hardware (SRV7 and SDV7) and 7side tarps for all 4 sides. Pyramid  (PY) and Hip (HIP) are available but far more complicated to assemble and not as flexible. 12. Our tents come with a low 12-degree slope connectors. If the roof tarp is pulled tight,  it will shed water without pocketing.  High peak tents are less likely to pocket water but are more susceptible to wind.  A 2-sided valance model ( models will have a V in the no.)  makes tightening the tarp easier.  It makes it look nicer and allows for water to shed to the outside when side tarps are added later. 
13. The tarps are a waterproof poly/vinyl material similar to a heavy duty tarp that you would buy at Home Depot. They are not canvas. The white tarp weighs .30 lbs/sq. yd. The silver tarp weighs .35 lbs/sq. yd.  (About 6 ounces.) White allows a significant amount of light to come through and is more festive for weddings and big parties. Silver gray is a little bit cooler and does not show dirt as quickly. We now have Patriotic Stripe/ Red-White-Blue (For comparison, the light duty blue construction tarps which we do NOT stock only weigh .16 lbs/sq. yd. and cost half as much as our heavy duty in-stock tarps)
 14. Prices:  All gable tent packages are built around 4 simple basic prices.
A. White and Silver Tarps are $ .12 sq. ft. : http://partytentcity.com/tarp1/tarp1.html Stripped tarps are $.15 a sq. ft. unless ordered with a frame.  The grommets in the tarps are 14 to 33 inches apart.
B. Flat and low peak hardware fitting connectors are $8 ea. when purchased with a kit. High peak fittings are $10 each. A few hip and pyramid roof connectors are $ 12 each. C. Foot Pads are $ 6 ea.
D. Ball bungees are a wonderful invention for fastening the tarp to the pipe frame. They are $.20 each for 6and 9 The 12ball bungees are $.40 each.
15. Our triangular truss design will support 20 ft. spans in tents 10 to 40 ft. wide.  If you need a  gable roof clear span from 21 to 30 ft. you could use the fittings for a 40 ft. wide tents and use cold-water steel pipe for leg supports or build a dome tent. You can have a dome tent up to 30 feet wide using a 50 ft tarp wide. A dome foot print could be10x20, 10x24, 10x30, 10x40, 20x30, 20x40, 20x60, 25x30, 25x40, 25x50, 25x60, 30x30, 30x40, 30x50.
  16.Strength:  Is 1.5 " or 2" pipe needed for a big tent?nbsp; NO!  We designed a reinforcing connector to make the rigid triangle. The 1pipe frame becomes very strong. Don make the mistake of thinking top fence rail is stronger. The tarp only weighs 6 ounces per sq. yd. Bigger pipe can be overkill.  You can chin yourself on our frame. 1fittings are less expensive cheaper and less expensive to ship.. 1" pipe is more easily available and costs a lot less. It is lighter than 1. 5or 2".   We sell the most flexible tent on the market. Our largest in stock silver heavy-duty tarp is 50 x100. The fittings are interchangeable for a 10x10 tents or any other sizes.  60x60 tents all use the same hardware connectors as a 10x10 tent.
