I am an electronics experimenter with over 35 years of experience in the electronics field. I have written three books, one is available on Amazon.com. Look for "Digital and Computer Projects" by Bob Davis. My web page can be located at http://home.rochester.rr.com/bkdavis/. My training comes from 6 years in the US Navy as a computer technician, specializing in display systems. My electronics training comes from a correspondence course from CIE electronics. I am also a graduate of Elim Bible Institute, a three year Bible School. All totaled this is 7 years of higher education, but I have no degree.
I started in electronics by making vacume tube audio amplifiers at the young age of 13. Eventually I was building sound systems that could be heard from a block away. I progressed to building calculators and in 1975 I started building computers from my own plans and from kits. At one point I used to know how many computers I had built, now it is over several hunderd computers, but they are no longer my designs. These days I travel around the world fixing sound systems and computers.
I get a lot of stuff given to me that I cannot use, nor do I know anyone who can use it. So I sell it, and buy things that can be used, and donate them to Churches, Bible School's, etc.
These days there is a lot of Ebay rip off's out there. I have purchased 4 fast ethernet hubs but all of them were slow. So then I bought two refurbished ones from Justdeals and one died after 1 month.
Then I bought several bad processors. First there was a Athlon XP from seasideglamor, but they never shipped it. They received so much bad feedback that they were kicked off ebay. Now I cannot post negative feedback because they are gone, but they do not have to resolve the problem to get reinstated because I cannot post feedback.
