About me:
I'm known as Bohemian Weasel, or just 'that weasel' or Soni (which, strangely enough, is actually my real name). I was hatched in England (where Hobbits live), studied in Scotland (where Haggis lives), and now live in Portugal (where sardines live, briefly). In England I did two years of mixed, general art (graphic design, fashion design, sculpture, photography and how to wear black turtlenecks); then Scotland for a four-year Bachelor of Arts degree at the Glasgow school of Art*, where I specialised in Illustration and sleep-deprivation. There are two common myths about art school: 1, that it's an easy option; and 2: they teach you how to draw. They are, of course, both nonsense. * (If you're in Glasgow you can visit the art school, tourists are welcome - and in the basements you may see some lamp-eyed, spindly creatures, chained to desks and shivering - these are actually the 'students'. For the love of god, Feed Them.)
I've had exhibitions in Britain and Portugal, illustrated children's books and given art tuition as well as doing private commission work, mostly portraits. I'm yet to be asked to paint someone nude but I have bunches of grapes and little Cupids ready, should the occasion arise.
To see other examples of my work, much of which was sold here on eBay, please visit my online gallery by clicking the image below. (Best viewed with a glass of wine and nibbly things).

Fannying about with web pages takes time, therefore new work appears on eBay before the gallery, so it's worth checking here first.
About the Work:
(The Weasel Studio, aka sanctum sanctorum - or 'the hidey hole'.)
The artwork goes straight from my studio desk to my store, where at any time you may find all manner of gorgeous drawings, paintings, prints, art cards and whatever else I'm in the mood for at that time. They're all original and all hand-drawn and painted by me, and it all starts life as a blank sheet of paper (or canvas) - not as a manipulated photograph or sketched-over print because I believe that drawings should actually be, you know, drawn. I'm old-fashioned like that.
My work reflects my secret passions; so my store is often a host of elves, hobbits, angels, vampires, demons and all manner of fantastical characters from existing stories and my imagination - they're all gorgeous, and can almost always be guaranteed to follow you round the room with their eyes. Creepy little buggers.
When possible I include photos or scans of the work in progress, so you can see exactly how it was done; as well as close-ups of the work itself so you can get a really good look at it before bidding. I'm always happy to answer questions, or provide more pictures on request - drop me a note.
I also strive to match the colour and contrast of the photos/scans to the original work as closely as possible, but there will always be differences between peoples' computers and monitors that I cannot account for.
Postage/Shipping:
My shipping costs are higher than I'd like them to be because I post my work from Portugal and it's not that cheap here. But I try to charge as little as possible, and sometimes my shipping prices don't even cover what it costs me to post the work. And I don't charge for the (highly over-priced) envelopes or all the lovely packaging I spend so much time making. I'm hoping this is good karma and in my next life I'll be a dolphin.
Everything is sent by registered mail, as I'm assured by the post office that this is the most secure option, and if the package goes a-wandering it should be locate-able.
I will ocassionally recycle an envelope, but I do it beautifully. If you get a recycled envelope be happy. You're saving trees. You'll get good karma and we'll both be dolphins.
(And yes, if it's a gift I can send it to another address, include a message of your choice, teach it to sing Happy Birthday, etc.)
Packaging :
Everything I send out I package as securely as possible - because I care a lot about my work and that it arrives safely, and also because I'm a paranoid-neurotic Virgo with a deep distrust of everyone between me and the customer. And sometimes the customer too, you look a bit shifty. I wrap the artwork itself in delectable hand-made folders tied with organza ribbon, with a clear plastic pocket for each picture. It's like your birthday, just without all the bothersome phonecalls from distant relatives.
In the unlikely event that something should arrive in bad shape, please contact me immediately and I'll do my best to resolve the problem. Which seques neatly to...
Customer (and seller) satisfaction :
If something should seem to go terribly wrong - the package arrives full of frogs or takes eleven years to be delivered, then PLEASE contact me about it first, and before hitting the negative feedback. If there is a problem I'm the best person to resolve it (and I keep receipts of everything I send) and will do my utmost to make sure you're happy and content. I'm also super nice and non-scary, so if you have any questions, just let me know. (Remember, I'm not selling mass-produced items but individual, one-of-a-kind works of art that take hours / days / weeks of work and effort; so I want them to arrive quickly and safely as much as you do!)
