This means pre-worn, gently used, not brand new. Any flaws will be noted in the description above. If you require additional photos or need specific questions answered please make sure you request this information before purchasing or bidding. On the rare occasion that a flaw has been missed please email me before doing anything else. I am always happy to figure out a solution. No returns for items that do not fit so please make sure to read how we measure and to follow accordingly. Need help? Ask! :-) BRAND NEW CLOTHING PLEASE NOTE: If payment was not made with in 3 days of auction's ending then there is no return policy for said item(s). So in simple terms.. if you don't make payment within 3 days following the end of your auction then please don't ask for an exchange or return of any sort. I believe my return policy to be quite fair, especially since most other eBay sellers selling the same or similar type of clothing do not offer ANY return policy. Please read and accept my return policy BEFORE bidding as I will not bend or change my policy for anyone except maybe Gwen Stefani and *probably* my mom. First and foremost.. please help us avoid returned merchandise issues by reading ALL auction terms, measurements and measuring guidelines so you can make the most educated decision as to whether or not this item will fit you. Also, if you have any concerns about fabric thickness, need sleeve/shoulder measurements, etc.. ASK BEFORE BIDDING! I do my best to provide as much information as humanly possible to help guide you to the right size.. I also do my best to include photos that depict the garment as honestly as possible and best describe its features. However, I am absolutely willing to provide more photos and/or measurements if needed. So please email me with ANY such requests and I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can with the answers. Thank you. In order to return an item you need to fulfill all of the specific requirements listed below: First off.. I hope you read these terms before bidding.. this way if you need to make a return there isn't any confusion or "but, I didn't know's" when I direct you to my return policy. I must be notified of return (before any return will be accepted) This way I know it is coming and we are on the same page. Item must be unworn and in brand new condition. This means no deodorant or make-up marks, no funny smells (i.e. cigarette smoke, Febreeze or fabric softener), in original packaging (if it had any - tissue paper doesn't count as original packaging) with tags still attached (if it had any.) Anything less than described above will simply be repackaged and sent back to you. No worn items will be accepted as a return. No exceptions. Once return is authorized by me please package the item back up neatly and include a copy of our emails in reference to your return, as well as your eBay user name and auction number of item being returned. All returns must be postmarked with in 7 days of item's receipt (I will trace the parcel with delivery confirmation to obtain this info). Please do not email me after this time frame asking for a return authorization. One week is definitely fair time for a buyer to determine fit. NO exceptions. Any return received not fitting the requirements above will be returned back to you immediately. Once fully compliant return is received I will issue you a store credit of your high bid amount less a 20% restocking fee to use towards your next PURCHASE. No cash refunds will be given. No shipping will be reimbursed (there or back). No exceptions. I am not fussed if you call me names and tell me I am mean.. I am laying it all out on the table here so there aren't any disagreements post purchase. If you bid then it is fair to conclude that the buyer has agreed to my terms. Your credit is good for 90 days from your original sale date. Once a credit has expired it is can no longer be redeemed. No exceptions. There is only one return per each base transaction. If you have any questions in regards to the return policy please read below BEFORE emailing me. If I have not covered your question below I will be shocked... but anything is possible.
Return Policy FAQ Q. "I meant to email you and ask if I could return it but just figured I wouldn't bother you and so I just sent it back anyway." A. Thanks for thinking of me but I require that all returns are authorized by ME first. No exceptions.. So please.. bother me with your email as to why you are returning the garment and I will bother you back by giving you instruction as to where it is to be returned. Capeche? Q. "What do you mean by original sale date?" A. The original sale date is the day the auction ended. The quicker you pay the more time you have to get the item back to me as I ship with in 48 hours of payments receipt. If a sale went perfectly it would go like this.. You win on Monday, you pay by Tuesday. I ship on Wednesday you receive on Saturday, You try on the garment Sunday and realize it is all wrong. You contact me Monday and I authorize a return on Tuesday. You send the item back to me on Wednesday and I receive it on the following Monday. As long as the item is postmarked by the 14th day after the original sale date, I will accept it. Q. "What do you mean by unworn.. I tried it on really fast and realized it wasn't my size.. does this mean it was worn?" A. No.. trying it on quickly is not considered worn. When you try something on you have it on for a few minutes, assess the situation and realize that it is hugging your hips a little too much for your taste.. so you remove it (carefully, no make-up please) and don't have time to sweat in it. Wearing it is completely different.. example... do not wear it "really quickly" on a date or to the mall and decide that it makes your ba-donk-a-donk look big or your chest hangs out and then try and send it back.. I have the nose of a bloodhound and will figure it out ASAP. Wearing an item creates smells, wrinkles and that lived in feel that I cannot resell in my store as NEW. I only sell NEW so don't try and send me something that is not. :-) Q. "What do you consider a funny smell? I had the package in my car and kept forgetting to take it to the post office and my boyfriend was totally chain smoking when we went out last night and then he got really drunk and puked on the package.. but I don't think it got on it. Is this okay?" A. No. Never. Don't bother. And don't try to douse it with Febreeze, rub it with fabric softener or spray any fragrances (especially patchouli) on it as I sent it to you with out any smells and I only want it back if it is fragrance free. I will just return to sender if I open a package and fumes expel from it. I am an ex-smoker so I have earned my rights to hate on smoking. It stinks and it makes clothes smell even stinkier.. not to mention your hair and breath too... but don't think I don't want to smoke one when I have a really good cup of coffee in the morning or my kids are driving me crazy. Q. "Can you be more specific about how I am to package it neatly? I only have an 8"x11" envelope and I don't know if this full length down jacket will go into it neatly." A. I send the item neatly folded and wrapped and I expect the same. Nothing is worse than receiving an item that has been shoved into the package and comes out extremely wrinkly and sweaty feeling. Please take the time to put it into the appropriate packaging (USPS provides free envelopes for Priority Mail) and make sure you close it up securely as items damaged in the mail on their way back to me are your problem and will be sent back to you to rectify with the shipper you chose. Q. "Why are you asking me to include emails in reference to my return? Is that really necessary? Can't I just send you back a random item and let you figure it out" A. Yes.. it is extremely important. I have hundreds of customers and although I would like to remember you all by name (and I often try) I have to admit that I forget the names of my own children from time to time... so it is imperative that you include any emails that reference your return, eBay user name and item number. Thanks, you're my hero.. Q. "What in the heck do you mean by "credit of my high bid amount less a 20% restocking fee?"" A. I can explain this best by example. Say you won an item with a high bid of $50.00. I will deduct 20% ($10.00) from the high bid amount of $50.00. This leaves you with a credit of $40.00 to use towards your next purchase. Q. "Can I just exchange my item for another item of equal value?" A. I require that all transactions are completed through eBay as per eBay policy. This requires you to bid or to "buy it now" if that option is available. The credit will go towards your purchase amount. Example: If the item you won or bought now was $40.00 + $6.00 shipping (a total of $46.00) and your credit was for $42.50 I would apply the credit towards your total. This would leave a remaining amount due of $3.50. I would then expect payment of the remaining amount to be made via Pay Pal or money order. I can send an adjusted invoice if you need help. If you are actually owed money after a purchase is made and it is less than $10.00 I will go ahead and refund the remainder via Pay Pal. (Example: You won an item for $30.00 + $6.00 shipping totaling $36.00 and your credit was for $42.50 which leaves you with a remaining credit of $6.50)
Q. "I totally forgot about my credit cause I have been like uber busy with mid-terms and stuff and it has now been 150 days since my original sale date... can I still use it? A. No. I am constantly adding new stock to my store so finding something to replace the item you returned should not be hard. All of my items come from different manufacturers so if you didn't like a particular style or cut it is not how all of my dresses will fit across the board. 60 days is ample time to find something else so if you are just way too busy in life to use it within that time frame you should just be content with the fact that you have a very fulfilling and/or exciting life. Q. "If I send you a really nasty email and threaten with a chargeback will I get my way?" A. Threats and nastiness do not get you anywhere. I do my best to auction items that are true to their description and photo depiction. Sometimes I do make a mistake and a flaw is missed. Please remember that I am only human and I am usually working with the "help" of a 4 year old and a 3 year old. You try taking your kids to work. So this being said... occasionally I do mess up. I am more than happy to own up to any mistakes I make so please bring them to my attention in a courteous manner as I am not out to "scam" anyone. My feedback says it all give or take a few "special" customers I have had the *a-hem* pleasure to work with. I have received almost 16,000 positive feedbacks in my eBay selling career so please feel free to check my record and I am always looking to work out any issues in an amicable manner. ...back to top... | Will it fit? This is so important! Please take out your measuring tapes and make sure the item will fit you correctly.Do not depend solely on the vintage number/letter sizing to make your decision. Measurements are given to help you best decide which garment will be your most desired fit. Sizing standards have changed since "the good old days" so size tags in vintage garments are pretty much irrelevant in comparison to today's sizing but are given regardless to help experienced vintage buyers make the an informed decision in regards to fit. Please note: The measurements listed are of the fabric (unless
otherwise noted and measuring chart is given) - not the required personal measurements (a.k.a. YOU) for this item to fit. For example: If an item is described as having 36" of fabric at the bust, and you have a 36" bust, it does not mean the dress will fit as its maker intended. Some items are designed to be worn loose. I will leave it up to you to determine whether the item will fit. If you need more measurements that have not listed in the description then by all means.. ask for them before bidding. I would love to help! Bust: Measured at the under arm seam across the chest/bust to the other under arm seam and then doubled. If fabric has some give or some stretch it will be pulled to its max and measured and doubled again. Waist: Middle of garment where the waist would be or where the item tapers in. Measured across and double. If fabric has some give or some stretch it will be pulled to its max and measured and doubled again. Hips: Measured approximately 5 in. below the waistline or at the area where the curve is most outward... but where the hips would be. If fabric has some give or some stretch it will be pulled to its max and measured and doubled again. Length: The garment is measured from the absolute top to the absolute bottom. We include the straps in the measurement if the garment has any. This measurement is not doubled. Shoulders: measured flat, from seam to seam, then stretched (if item can be stretched) and measured again. All of the measurements are maximum and approximate... which means that they may fit smaller or larger sizes. We measure all items as accurately as possible as we have no reason to give wrong measurements. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take out your measuring tapes and make sure the item will fit you correctly. If you are unsure that you are measuring yourself in the correct spots we suggest taking out a similar item you own which fits you ideally, measure it like we measure our garments, and then compare the measurements to the those listed above:
**The mannequins measurements are irrelevant to the size and fit of the garment as most articles of clothing are clipped onto her small frame for a better fit. If you are still confused, email me and I will do my best to help. Please do not email me and ask questions like... "I am 5 foot 6 inches and 135 pounds.. will this fit?" You know your body better than us and questions like this are impossible for us to answer. ...back to top...

Other Frequently Asked Questions - Q. "What is a crinoline and where do I buy one?"
-
A. A crinoline is a petticoat made from multiple layers of netting or nylon
to create a fluffy appearance and maximize a skirts potential of fullness.
They were used in the 50's as an everyday wardrobe staple. I can special
order one for you or I can direct you to some other websites that carry
them.
- Q. "Do you have this dress in an XL?"
- A. I am currently searching out manufacturers who carry cute dresses that keep with the styles I normally list in larger sizes. I don't understand why the manufacturers typically make only small, medium and large... but if they do offer XL I always buy them. If you do not see it then I probably don't have it. When I do get XL in it is usually one piece per lot that I buy as that is just the way the manufacturers sell their stock. This is why I tend to only auction off XL instead of place buy it now's on the items as it creates a fair playing field to my customers who require an XL in certain styles. If I am able to get more than one XL in a style I always list one as an auction and one as a buy it now. trust me ladies.. after two kids I know all about the ba-donk-a-donk, so I feel your pain.
- Q. When did you ship my item? It is taking a really long time.
- A. I ship with in 48 hours of receipt of payment about 95% of the time. I always send out an email letting the customer know their item has been shipped. I CAN track International Priority mail parcels and Domestic Priority Mail parcels once they have been entered into the USPS system. This generally doesn't happen until they are received at your post office. If you want an explanation I will simply say this.. US Customers. it is DELIVERY confirmation.. meaning confirmation of delivery.. not a tracking service for every move it makes. So be patient! :-) Also... about insurance... if you don't insure it don't come asking for any refunds from moi.. I am only responsible for myself and my 2 kids.. neither of whom work for the USPS.. so buy it if you are going to cry about it when it doesn't turn up or arrives damaged. I wish I could hand deliver all of my packages however, that is not possible.. so please do not get upset with me if the post office on my end.. or your end... messes things up as I have done my best to get your package out ASAP and packaged safely. Oh.. and if you paid with an e-check.. it isn't going anywhere until the e-check has cleared.

Q. "What do you mean by it is a Juniors size? Is this a kid's dress?"
A. No it is NOT a kid's dress. "The biggest difference other than possible style differences between juniors and misses clothing is the way the clothing is cut. Misses clothing is generally cut more generously in the bust and hips, where as juniors clothing is generally cut straighter. The size numbers are also different: juniors clothing is sized in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, etc.), while misses clothing is sized in even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, etc.)"
-
Q. "I am 4' 5", I normally wear size 5 in jeans and have a 36 DD bust... will this fit me?"
A. All of my dresses are from different manufacturers so they are sometimes sized a little differently. This is why I provide a sizing chart/exact measurements to help you better determine which size will work best for you.. I also provide a measuring guide "How To" at the bottom of my auctions under the heading "Will this fit?" Unfortunately I cannot give you exact answers or guarantees. Please remember that the measurements are of the fabric and not the required personal measurements for the garment in question. Also, sometimes junior sizes run small. I do carry some misses items that might be better suited towards a curvier figure. If you need to know which ones they are I will be more than happy to point you in the right direction. If you are wondering what the difference is between misses and juniors please read the answer to that above this question. I wish I could tell you exactly what you needed and apologize for not being able to do so but I do try my best to provide the customer with as much information as humanly possibly over the internet to guide them into the right size. Update: Check out this sizing chart found on eBay.. it may help you if you need to figure out what number size my measurements fall into...
- Q. "I paid you through Pay Pal but you denied my payment! What is your problem!?"
- A. As a seller I am limited by Pay Pal to only accept confirmed Pay Pal ship to addresses in order to be protected by their Seller Protection Policy. If I deny your payment please do not take it personally as it is not based on how golden your heart is. I simply make a decision based on feedback score, Pay Pal history, total of sale and if the name on the ship to address matches the Pay Pal account holder's name. If you are denied and are not able or willing to confirm your address with Pay Pal and resubmit it to me you have the option of sending me a money order. I will ship your parcel to Mars if you really want... just make sure you send a money order before making such a request. All in all... I just can't take risks with Pay Pal as I have burned one too many times and it really ruins my day.
- Q. "I am from Paraguay and don't have a Pay Pal account.. but I went ahead and won this item anyway so give me your bank details and I will send you money that way."
- A. I am sorry you did not take the time to read the 2 sentences of instructions clearly listed in my auction terms as to how you may pay as an international customer... so please let me reiterate that I only accept Pay Pal from international customers (unless you are Canadian.. and they really aren't international since the are pretty much the twin sister of the US except with a better leader, a great appreciation for the sport of curling and cooler accents, no dowt.) Anyhow.. no, I won't provide my banking details to perfect strangers.. so please do not ask and do not get mad when I won't accept wired money requests either. No go.. Pay Pal only. Thanks for understanding!
- Q. "I would like to purchase 5 dresses. Can you give me a discount?"
- A. As much as I appreciate all of my customers and as much as I would like to hand out discounts I can not. I price my stock as reasonable as one can to still make a small profit. I have seen other sellers who have listed the same item as I have for much more than my starting bids. Ask me.. I will point you to their auctions. Please keep in mind that I do have to pay for the item along with the eBay listing fees, the final value fee, the Pay Pal fees, taxes (yes, I am legit) and the time and effort it took for me to photograph, measure, describe and list each item.. all the while fending off an impatient 2 year old and a teething baby. The only discounts I offer is combined shipping. Combined shipping is explained above under the heading "Shipping." If you are looking for a smoking deal please check my store clearance sale section for greatly reduced items. Update: I am now offering Dress Lot Deals.. click this link to see what I have in store for you.
- Q. "I really want this dress for a party this weekend. Can you ship it overnight?"
- A. Abso-freaking-lutely! I take full advantage of the USPS carrier pick up services.. and you know my Postwoman has got to love that *sarcasm*... so I generally ship every other day. If you need something sent ASAP please let me know before bidding and again when you pay. I am the mother of two kids under two (and a half) so my memory capacity is about the size of this . I will ship your item via USPS Express Mail and depending on where you live it should get there the next day. I do know that if you live in a smaller town it may take 2 days. Overnight shipping is more expensive so your invoice will need to be adjusted to reflect the shipping costs.
- Q. "Is this item used? What do you mean new without tags?"
- A. All of my items are brand spanking new (except for the vintage items) bought directly from the manufacturer. If the item does not have hang tags it is because those are generally applied once a store receives the stock. I do not waste money on little pieces of paper that are going to be torn off and discarded (waste of a good tree in my opinion) so this is why your item may not have tags... hence the term.. New Without Tags.
- Q. "This item is not vintage! I thought this was vintage!" Why isnt this vintage?
- A. I sold vintage clothing exclusively on eBay for 4 years, hence the user name bombshellvintage. I had a blast doing it.. looking for the treasure, offering the goodies up for sale, etc. However, one day I found out I was pregnant. I grew very large in the gut. It got harder to breathe, walk, sit, sleep and search for the vintage booty. I had the baby. I fought tooth and nail to continue life as it was pre-baby. I attempted dragging said child to estate sales at 5 am strapped to my chest in his carrier. He would not cooperate. He pooped at the most inopportune times and demanded to eat just as the doors were opened. He was making every effort to foil my vintage adventures. As life slowly began to take a new turn I began to adopt new ways to find the goods and list them on eBay. Life was starting to retain some sense of normalcy when BAM! I found out I was pregnant again! This time my gut grew even bigger. Things were doubly as hard as the fist time with a one year old in tow. I gave up. The end. I now sell new clothing and may occasionally list some vintage. However, I will list it in the appropriate category on eBay and note that it is in fact, vintage. Just because my username is bombshellVINTAGE do not assume that what I sell is too. If you bought a dress from a seller named PurplePickle would you expect a purple pickle in your package? See, that is just silly. Update: I am now selling some vintage clothing.. you will know the difference between my new stock and my vintage stock... mainly because the title will start out with the word vintage... see how easy I make it?!
- "I found a Matchbox Car and/or LEGO in my package. Why did you send me this? You're weird."
- A. You can thank my 3 year old son. He likes to put things where they are not supposed to be. Consider it a bonus gift.
- Q. "Do you design these dresses yourself and if so can you take any special orders?"
- A. I wish I could sew... shoot.. I struggle with a button. I buy my stock from the manufacturers but I do pick and choose what I carry based on what I would wear personally.. so if you like what I have up to offer then I must compliment you on your exquisite taste. Moral of the story: I don't make any of the dresses I sell so I can't make anything to your specifications.
- Q. "I need 4 of one style in 3 different sizes for my bridesmaids.. can you do this?"
- A. I will do my best to accommodate brides and their bridesmaids. If I am able to special order some extra stock to fulfill your needs I will do so. Special orders such as this require payment up front. Special orders are only refundable in the form of a store credit (see return policy above for details)... so don't get all bridezilla on me if you are asked to front the cash before I place an extra order for you. Also.. if you want to see some additional styles that aren't in my store I can email you some photos of other possibilities that may be of interest to you. Just ask! I am happy to help make your special day.. well.. special! Same goes for formal wear, prom dresses & cocktail gowns. E-mail me.. let's talk!
- Q. "I need this item now.. can you add a buy it now?"
- A. I will be more than happy to add a buy it now to any listing that has not already received bids. However.. I may choose not to in rare instances that it is my last one and I have more than one person show interest just to keep the playing field even. This is a rarity though and most of the time it "ain't no thang."
- Note: Thanks to all of my repeat customers and new customers. I really appreciate your business, friendly emails and time. Best regards~ Melissa @ Bombshell
