My name is Bonny Corner and I am a accountant by day and lampworker by night. Like many lampworkers, I started out making my own bead jewelry and that spread to jewelry for others. When I discovered lampwork beads on e-bay and at my local bead shop I was hooked.
The culmination of my addiction to lampwork beads lead to me setting up my own studio in my home in Texas about two years ago. That took a bit of doing but I was sure the heat of the torch and Texas weather would discourage me from working at making beads in my garage. So the breakfast nook became my studio. It's not like I cook anymore, anyway. My husband is slowly getting used to it.
I work primarily with borosilicate also know as hard glass. It was it's ethereal colors that drew me to the beads in the first place. Plus, the chemistry knowledge required to successfully work with this type of glass allows me to satisfy both sides of my personalty when flameworking.
I dabbled with selling my beads at first but read a booklet that Corina published and decided to wait to sell my beads until I was better at making them. I have taken classes with Doug Remschneider, Nancy Tobey and Sam Hibler as well as attended demos by Greg and Deanna Chase, Diane Woodall and Ann Rickets. I will be taking a class with Louis Wilson and Doni Hatz at this year's ISGB Gathering (conference for glass beadmakers).
Your satisfaction is guaranteed on all items I make and sell. If you are not totally happy with the item, please contact me and I will fix it even if that is a complete refund. Please check out my feedback.
Thanks for looking and happy beading.
