I have been a stamp collector since 2 June 1952 ( Coronation Day - I remember it well - TV by gaslight !! ) concentrating mainly, but not exclusively, on postal history since 1974. As such I have accumulated a vast amount of material which I have been sorting and writing up since I took early retirement to work as a part time consultant in 1996. This made me realise I needed to specialise in far fewer areas of interest in order to create a "meaningfull" collection (or in my case collections).
As a consequence I now concentrate on world-wide military/censored material, Egypt/Sudan, Welsh P.H. (plus Barbados, German Inflation Period etc, etc). It also means I have a great deal of material to dispose of, and, with the demise of the local stamp dealers shop, this means mainly via ebay. Unfortunately ebay also gives me the opportunity to buy covers of interest, so the amount of material never seems to go down - that's according to my long-suffering wife !
