HOW I GOT STARTED

"BOTTLEWIZARD'S BOTTLE INFORMATION"

 Hello... I am a true bottle hound, and have been collecting and digging old bottles since I was a young boy. I will never forget the thrill of digging the first bottle, that I have unearthed out of a muddy bank in the middle of the woods. It happened to be an old 1905 Pittsburgh Brewing Company "Tech" aqua beer bottle, and it was full of bubbles. Then I discovered digging around old farm sites, and gully washes in Western Pennsylvania. Then I got "hooked" for life! Then later on, I started doing historical research on old digging sites at my local Library. The bottles really started to pile up after that! Then I used to put them on the roof to turn dark purple. Then it really took off from there nearly 30 years later! I love unearthing an old bottle, that has been buried for over 100 years last touched by a Pioneer....

"MY HISTORICAL PASSION FOR OLD BOTTLES"

 I am very facinated about the embossed bottle's history, the stories, and the Merchants behind them. It takes me back to a freer adventurous time, when the merchants traveled around the country trying to find a place in a given town. I love to tie in the histories of the old bottlers and their thriving pioneer spirit. The stories on how they got there, and the beauty of old bottles is truly hard to beat....
