FIRST, HELLO TO ALL MY EBAY FREINDS AND NEIGHBORS.

 Now a little about myself. I'm 50 years old, educated and trained as a Certified Electronics Technician . I have always been handy,and loved building and fixing things. I'd take them apart and take a look to see if something seems out of place, broken, or just dirty and in need of cleaning. Then I'd fix them.

 What a ride this has been!! When I started out, I was looking for a crystal for my Raymond Wiel wristwatch. Well I couldn't find one but with some help from my brother,  I started looking at other watches. Well, I found a few I liked, bought them and I was hooked.

This Is When The Fun Really Started:

I  became interested in vintage watches quickly and bought my first circa 1940's Bulova Art Deco Tonneu style tanc. Well it didn't run so I took it to a local jeweler who wanted $125.00 to repair it. I had only paid $12.00 for it, so I thought I had nothing to lose really. Home I went and proceeded to take it apart. I dumped the movement in a jar with alcohol, swished it around some and then dried it off with a hairdryer. Well,  it started ticking, so I put it all back together and it ran strong keeping excellent time.

That one watch was the birth of an obsession that has led to several thousand purchases, many watches, books and parts as I taught myself more and more about the fine art of watch repair. From my simplest beginnings, I now do full restorations, and sell parts of my collection, some of the finest vintage time pieces to be found on Ebay!!!

Many of my aquaintences that I have purchased from, now my freinds, have seen my talents grow. Some comment that now, I am a "WATCHMAKER". What a feeling to be granted such recognition by someone who has spent their lifetime with watches. I never would haved dreamed of ever doing watches and now here I am.

 As the need to finance my passion grew, I began a sales and marketing strategy for selling off parts of my collection to finance further aquisitions and I began selling on EBAY. Look for me  as I have  been putting up new listings on a weekly basis.There will be always some very nice peices by Bulova, Elgin,Hamilton( including Electrics ) ,Gruen,Benrus and more, offered to all those who share my fondness for vintage watches.

Stay tuned for more as my horological saga continues beyond the realm of Bulova, Elgin, Gruen, Waltham , Benrus etc....... I've survived the dreaded Hamiltonitus Electricosis , picked up several beautiful watches along the way, and sold a few to some very happy buyers. But, I learned something, best to leave the Electrics to those who know them very well. Fixing these is an art unto itself.
