Greetings all ye who enter here. My name is JE Smith, and I am a comic book artist and freelance graphic artist. You may have even read some of my comic books -- my first series, independently produced in 1999, was called BULLETPROOF, and featured the humorous adventures of a well-meaning but rather dim superhero. Three issues were published, and distributed to comic book stores nationwide.
And then... COMPLEX CITY
After BULLETPROOF, I created a second series called COMPELX CITY. This was a more sprawling (and slightly more serious) comic about a 6ft. talking dog named Bulldog Malone, and his adventures in the town of the title. The large supporting cast includes Bulletproof (making a return appearance here after his own series), boy genius Fidge Dextro, Bulldog's loving wife Ginger, Bulletproof's super-powered girlfriend Ubermodel, and a host of bizarre and, well, complex characters. COMPLEX CITY #1 debuted in October, 2000, and has published four issues thus far, with a fifth issue and a trade paperback collection forthcoming.
I do a lot of selling on ebay, and virtually all of the money goes to support the production of this independent comic.
