Q. What Brand is it?
A.  Nearly ALL items made in China are generically made units and are purchased at the same factories as some of the better known marketing companies.  Brands, as we know them, are NOT made by these marketing companies.  Goods are simply re-badged in the name of the marketing company. The lack of branding (advertising, marketing fees etc) leads to savings passed on directly to customers.  The items I bring in may come with a known or unknown brand, often in plain white boxes. The EXACT same units are often found in retail stores under various "in-store" names

Q) Do you have an Installation policy
A. Prior to installing any powered item it is imperative that your installer test each system / item regardless of if they are new, in the original carton or are loose. It is simply wasteful to have the item installed and expecting it to work because it is new. What invariably happens is if the unit is faulty, or if the wireless system does not work as intended, the installer gets paid for "doing his job" and the buyer pays for the installation and then the re-installation all because the installer does not test the item first

Q. Can I view the manufacturers website?
A.
There is no further information on any of the manufacturers website other than what has been translated to English on this website.  Manufacturers will not respond to any question from end users and have requested that all enquiries only come via Brash Imports

Q. Can I plug my PS2/Xbox/GPS into it?
A.  Getting excited with the possibility of playing a game console in a vehicle many people forget a monitor is just that.  It will display whatever you plug into it, but the audio needs to come through an amplifier or the radio (by using an FM Modulator/Sender)

Q.  Can I plug my Camera/GPS/DVD  into it ?
A.   All monitors have simple RCA inputs or 4 Pin priority hardware connections and so if your unit can be connected to RCA plugs then the monitor will display what is being played.

Q.  Can I plug your tuner into my Pioneer/Kenwood/Sony head unit
A.  If your unit has RCA inputs then there is no reason as to why they will be be compatible.

QI have bought a unit from Hong Kong / China but I cannot get the TV tuner to work with your antenna/ booster?
A.   Do not expect that the cheap unit you have bought will work well (if at all) in your car.  Getting a TV to work well can be tricky and will depend on all components needing to work well.  The best antenna with the best placement, the types of antenna, as well as proximity to broadcast towers will effect your ability to get a picture.  Antennas rarely fail, cheap TV tuners do.

Q.  Which antenna is better ?
A.   All the antennas have advantages and disadvantages.  For discreetness the Film on Glass is better, but it may not work as well if your windows have metalized window tint, so the single/dual plug diversity antenna may be better placed on the front windscreen.

QHow many antennas will I need and where do I place them?
A.  The best advice I can give is that it will depend on where you broadcast towers are and the placement in a vehicle.  We recommend as many antennas as your unit will accept to give the best chance of reception available.  Placement of the antennas is usually inside the vehicle on the front and rear windscreens. |

Q.  The Antenna booster does not work ?
A.   The antenna booster will only boost existing signals and can make goods signals great, but I cannot give you better reception.  If you have weak or poor signals then you must remember that this unit will boost all TV signals.   If you are receiving junk, then the junk signal is boosted.
If you receive no signal at all, then there is nothing to boost.  If you have a poor picture to start with, the antenna booster may in fact seem to make your picture worse.  Poor reception is nearly always the fault of poor TV tuners.

Q.  Do you install?
A.  No.  All installation should be done by a qualified installer. Click here for a list of installers available in your area.

Q.   Are leads and wiring included?
A.   All units are complete with remotes all wiring commonly needed to make them work

Q. Do you have a showroom/shop where goods are displayed/demonstrated?
A. No, we are a wholesaler/distributor of goods and do not have the same facilities as a retailer

Q.  Can I pick up the item?
A.  Pick up is usually available M- F between 9 - 3 and between 4 - 6, but you need to call in advance on (03) 9523 8899

Q.  Guarantee?
A.  All goods are covered by Brash Imports for 7 days after the receipt/pick up of the item. During this time goods can be sent back and postage cost will be refunded should there be anything wrong with a unit as long as installation guidelines as outlined are followed.

 Should the item arrived damaged?
A.   Upon payment or invoicing of goods legal ownership is transferred to the buyer.  Brash Imports will post your goods on your behalf or you can elect to use your own courier or they can be collected by arrangement.  Should the item arrived in a damaged condition then you must in the first instance contact the courier used (local courier / Australia Post etc).  Brash Imports can make a claim on your behalf for your goods but this can only be done once you have reported the damage.

Q. Battery is dead!
A  Batteries and other consumables are not covered by any warranty.

Q What are your installation guidelines ?
A.  Quite simply all units must be installed by registered and qualified installers listed in either the Yellow Pages or local paper / business card (proof will requested).  For those wishing to self install, the units will still carry 3 months manufacturers warranty.  Goods will NOT be replaced for burnt out wiring etc.   They will, at the purchasers cost, be sent to the manufacturer for repair.

QWhat happens after 7 days?
A.  All new goods have a 3 months manufacturers' warranty and need to be returned to manufacturer to claim warranty and get goods repaired or replaced, (more common is that goods are simply replaced).  No manufacturer has facilities for repairing items outside of China.  For your convenience, and to provide a one stop shop, goods can be returned to Brash Imports office in China and we will send the items to the manufacturers on your behalf at the purchasers' cost.

The fees for sending good to the manufacturer and to return it to you are costed as follows:
Simply return the items via Australia Post to the address in China below.  When sending the item take note of the Nett weight of the carton.
The cost of getting the item back from China is $18AUD per KG + $15 handling/postage fee.  This amount can be paid via PayPal or bank deposit.    Goods can be also couriered directly back at a cost of $20 per KG + $50AUD courier fee.

Turnaround time is typically 4 - 5 weeks

Q.  What about refunds ?
Brash Imports adheres to Consumer Affairs (Vic) and ACCC guidelines relating to the return of goods.

It is important to know your rights and responsibilities when purchasing goods and services as the law does not require traders to make refunds in every case - Choose carefully!

Q. When can I get a refund?
You are entitled to a refund when the goods you bought:

  • had a fault you could not have know about when you bought them
  • do not do the job you were led to believe they would
  • do not match the sample you were shown, or
  • are not as described

Q. When am I not entitled to a refund?
You may not be entitled to a refund when:

  • you can't provide proof of purchase (a sales receipt)
  • there's nothing wrong with the goods, but you changed your mind
  • the goods were bought for someone else who doesn't want them
  • the goods were damaged after you bought them, or
  • you knew or could reasonably have known about any faults when you bought the goods.
  • Goods were not installed by qualified installer.

Q. What if the goods are DOA or Faulty?
If you believe the goods are faulty you should stop using them immediately and return them as soon as possible.

If you intend to return goods please contact office@brashimports.com.au  outlining your reasons for the return.

Returns are back to base and shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

All products returned MUST be 100 percent complete and contain ALL original manufacturer boxes and packing materials, all manuals, blank warranty cards, accessories and any other documentation included with the original shipment.

Q What if you simply do not want the item any longer or have changed your mind after viewing the item?

A.
The item can be returned as long as it is 100% intact with all wiring in original condition etc.  If the item has either wires cut, protective film removed, supports cut etc or has the packaging damaged in any way there will be a charge of no greater than 20% to renew the item.  A 20% re-stocking fee + postage costs will also apply.  All postage / courier costs to and from Brash Imports will also need to be paid for (either courier costs as above, Australia Post etc)

Q. Can goods be exchanged?
Please choose goods carefully and ask as many questions as you need (after downloading manuals).  A 20% re stocking fee will apply to all goods returned + postage costs will also apply (unless faulty in which case there is no re-stocking fee)

Q.  Are there any other costs for delivery?
A.  NO.  All goods  are priced including delivery by Australia Post or courier. All goods will either be sent via Express Post or Registered Mail.  If the method for not specified then this will by the discretion of Brash Imports.   Registered items are sent insured, Express Post items can be claimed to the value of $50.  In the past year we have had a 100% delivery rate by Australia Post.

Q My item arrived damaged / or are not delivered?

As above, once goods are paid for or invoiced they are deemed to you legally yours. You have have a courier collect them, collect them yourself (and can pay upon collection) or I will post these Australia wide free of postage charges. It is HIGHLY recommended that you request insurance is taken out on YOUR goods, for no liability will be accepted once goods are posted.
