Darby’s Fine Art The Joy of Art My full gallery consists of art created by using my breasts and body. There was never a brush utilized anywhere within my Breasts and Body series. If you look closely you can see the hints of the form I use in the paint on the canvas. The materials used in her Breasts and Body series consist of tempera paint that is non-toxic and safe when applied to skin (unlike others such as acrylic that has a component in it that is considered to be unsafe when not properly used, and should never be applied to skin). The unique pieces are found in my Butterfly gallery pertained to using real butterflies on my canvas. Just as my Breasts and Body gallery was produced without the use of paint brushes the same manner is portrayed in the bulk of my Butterfly series. I purchase beautiful and original butterflies from abroad.I take great detailed work of carefully mounting them to the canvases to complete my art. I do not deal with endangered or protected species. Those that I use have been raised in farms and aviaries that promote the conservation instead of deforestation of the rain forest by protecting areas that the butterflies inhabit and employing the workers that collect them. Glitter works are created around thought of images that shine and shimmer. I use mostly ultra fine glitter, an image, and an abundance of patience to manufacture wonderful unique pieces of art. All of my art consists of high quality canvases to insure clients investments, and each canvas is gallery stretched with staple free edges. So there is no need for framing unless it is desired. All edges are painted black unless specified differently, and all pieces are finally varnished with a gloss finish that allows the colors to real pour into a room.
