~~~ Hello and thank you for visiting! Would you like to be notified when I have new beads listed? Please see the link at the bottom of this page. Just click to send me an email and join my mailing list! ~~~ My name is Jane and I live in Wisconsin with my husband, our son and our parrot named Yoshi, pictured below. He patiently waits on his cage in the house while I am out in the breezeway making beads. (He spends a lot of time waiting!!!) ~~~
~~~ ~ YOSHI ~ ~~~ I love all kinds of beads and have made my own jewelry for years. One day while shopping on Ebay I discovered Lampwork beads. I won some auctions and my Lampwork obsession began! I was instantly addicted, there is just something about the feel of handmade Lampwork glass beads! Eventually I was creating jewelry made exclusively from Lampwork beads. I decided that I wanted to make my own beads someday and the rest is history! I even have my own website is you want to see what's new, please come visit me there! ~~~ www.breezewaybeads.com ~~~
~~~ Before setting up a studio I decided I wanted to try it first, to see if I could even make beads! After several years, I finally found nearby who gave classes. A wonderful Lampworker in MN. It took several more months before I got up the courage to write and sign up for a class. She was an excellent teacher who knew everything about glass! I only made a couple beads (if that is what they were) and pulled some stringer which was fun. I found out that I really knew nothing about Lampworking before the class. When I was done, my brain was filled with so much info that my head was spinning for weeks. I think I was more afraid to set up a studio AFTER the class! Anyhow I finally decided to "just do it". My husband and I built my glass studio in our breezeway, I ordered a gazillion tools and supplies and "BreezewayBeads" was born. ~~~
~~~ I love creating something so unique! Knowing that my beads are now owned by people all over the United States and in many different countries is so amazing! They are all handmade, one-of-a-kind and have been individually created in the flame by me in my breezeway glass studio. I am constantly experimenting with huge collection of glass and frit (Hi my name is Jane and I am a frit-o-holic!) and deciding what colors to mix together next. Each session at the torch brings something new and different for me and running to the kiln each morning is the best part of the day! There are never enough hours in the day for my beadmaking and the future is endless! My hope is to create long lasting beads that will inspire others to create beautiful jewelry! ~~~ My beads are made with imported Italian Effetre/Moretti glass, German Lauscha glass, Vetrofond glass, silver and assorted glass frits. I use an oxygen and propane torch. My beads are wound on 1/16", 3/32" or 1/8" mandrels, the mandrel size will be noted in the auction. Each one of my glass creations goes straight from the flame into my computer controlled kiln. They are then properly annealed overnight for strength, long lasting durability and heirloom quality. The next day the beads are soaked, removed from the mandrels and the holes are cleaned with a diamond bit dremel. ~~~
~~~ Please note the measured size of the beads listed in each auction description. The photos may make the beads appear larger than they actually are. The bead sizes will be listed in millimeters. For your reference: 12mm equals about 1/2 inch, 25mm equals about 1 inch. Any white spots on the beads is glare from the light when they were photographed. Please keep in mind that each bead is handmade, therefore beads cannot be exactly duplicated and some minor variations in size, shape or color should be expected. If you see something you like I may be able to make something similar, just email me. ~~~ I try to make my descriptions as accurate as possible, if you have any questions or need more pictures, just send me an email before bidding. All my items come from a smoke free and pet fur free home. Please note: Lampwork beads are made from glass. If handled improperly they can break and injury could occur. Also, as with all beads and small items, they are not for young children. ~~~ ~ Thank visiting & Happy Bead Dreams! ~ ~ Jane ~ ~~~
SRA...Self Representing Artist...this means that I am the creator of these beads...made in the flame in my breezeway studio in Wisconsin. I create and represent my own original art work and sell it directly to you here on ebay. I hope all of my customers enjoy using my beads as much as I enjoyed creating them! ~~~ Would you like to be notified when I have new beads listed?
