Dorothea and Brian have been fortunate enough to traveled to places all over the world. Since the early 1990’s, when Brian met Dora, after recovering from both the loss of a wife and the trauma of receiving a life saving heart transplant almost simultaneously. Dorothea (Dora) is a native of Iceland and worked for Icelandair (Corporation) of the Americas as a lead agent in their “frequent flyer program” untill her abrupt retirement in 2008 when Iceland joined the worldwide economic tumble. Brian and Dorothea have had a long adventure of world travel with her previous fight privileges that abruptly ended in 2008. Trips to Iceland and beyond. Brian is the reluctant tourist, typically American, and he usually complains about the travel hardships. However, when he is back in the old U.S.A. he brags and emulates his adventures –noting the marvelous places he has been in Europe and as far as a trip to Japan. Iceland, with it’s awesome beauty and the hospitality of Dora’s large family, has become their favorite retreat. Dorothea and Brian‘s love for art and collectables has lead them to EBAY to offer some of their treasures. Dorothea is a gifted knitter and recently, since her retirement and Brian's recent battle with Cancer(dealing with long hours in Cancer Center waiting rooms!), has knitted herself into a frinzy of wounderful and colorful scarves. A recent trip to Iceland netted some treasures for wonderful gifts. Somehow, even with her new EBAY adventure...she keeps knitting baby blankets to keep up with the every-growing crop of grandchildren(14) and great grandchildren(2).
Brian collects duck figures from all over the world-from a straw woven duck from the
Bahamas’ to a glass crystal duck figure found in Holland. “Decoy’s are too big to
collect,” Brian says. “Besides, condominium living limits space and storage!”
Brian turned to writing after his transplant ended his career as an insurance agent. With
his co-author, Peggy McCardle, have three books* published and signed copies are available at his
