You have things I want, and I have things you want. We're here at Ebay to have fun and snap up those treasures we always wanted -- and those we never knew we wanted till we saw them at Ebay!
Mostly, I have
found Ebay to be relaxing and pleasurable. Read my feedback for
clues to how much I enjoy the process and how I love to try to
set records in shipping and paying. :) However, to be honest, I have
had some knocks recently, from some undesirable bidders. So, following
the lead of other sellers with more experience, I developed a
policy. Forgive me for sounding harsh, or at the very least, somewhat
intimidatingly business-like, but I just like for the rules to be clear
to everyone. I wish it weren't necessary, but unfortunately, Ebay
has grown to include an element that can spoil the fun for those
of us who are honest and enthusiastic about trusting others. The policy
protects not only me, but the genuine and fair-minded bidders who
make the Ebay world go 'round. To those
of you who are legitimate and conscientious bidders, I offer my
apologies for what has to be stated below.
I wish you all the best of luck in your
bidding and your selling!
My Policy and Philosophy Regarding Auctions
(see "fine print" below for meticulous & important details!)
If I bid on an item, that means I want it badly enough to buy it and add it
to my collection right away. By the
same token, I figure if you are bidding on my auctions, you are eager to get your item on the way by contacting or replying back to me
soon after auction's end. As a seller, I expect to be paid -- not when you "get around to it" but purposefully and promptly.
I keep
My Ebay bookmarked, so I can quickly
check on the status of my bids (or my bidders)-- and I
recommend this to all bidders and sellers! At a glance you know how much you are spending and how much you are
making. It's a great tool.
Completion of an auction quickly is a point of honor with me.
I want to pay as soon as I win, because since I wanted the item enough to fight others for it, I want it here with me ASAP, and
I want to pay you for it. I expect you,
as a bidder, to have the same conscientiousness and eagerness I do
with regard to completing auctions after
they end. I expect contact after a completed auction within 3 days. If you ever have trouble paying or must delay, please always email me and let me know. Failure to make an agreed Paypal payment within 3 days may draw a penalty of $1.00 per day, and delays shipment.
Otherwise, I expect to pay and be paid within 3 days by Paypal debit. no Checks, NO E-checks, NO money orders, NO alternate pay unless specifically requested, and thse will be considered ON A CASE-by-CASE BASIS. Unless there are
unavoidable delays, I think all auctions -- from ending to receipt of merchandise,
can be easily wrapped up in 10 days, two weeks at the very most! I consider feedback an essential part of the transaction. I always leave honest feedback and I encourage you to leave it, also. If
you discover that I have not left feedback for you, please email me at
britt1500@yahoo.com, and I will make sure I take care of it.
So! If I won your item, I want it! If you bid on mine, you want it! Let's work together to make our deals the most efficient and the best
of Ebay! Most important of all -- LET'S HAVE FUN!
"FINE PRINT" -- a must-read!
~ INSURANCE is an option for the buyer. I cannot be responsible for packages that are lost or damaged by the Postal Service. Once it leaves my very
cautious hands, it's at the mercy of the Postal Service -- and I have
NEVER had them fail me. ~ ~ PAYMENT must be initiated within 3 DAYS of an auction's end, unless you make arrangements with me first. However, repeated emails of "It's on the way!" or "I keep forgetting!" are not considered to be "arrangements" --
it is considered "stalling". (sorry, but we've learned a lot about
patterns and tactics from our previous deadbeat bidders!)
We are on the honor system, here. Make your payment quickly, and you will be rewarded with receipt of your item in a swift and professional manner. ~
~ FAILURE to reply to emails or send payment in a timely manner will result in losing your privileges as high bidder, and negative feedback will be left. ~
~ NEGATIVE FEEDBACK will be left for any high bidder who fails to carry through with one of my auctions. ~
~ NEGATIVE FEEDBACK will be left for any high bidder whose email is invalid and who cannot be reached by phone. This is an Ebay suspendable offense, and I support their policy. You will lose your buyer privileges, and I will leave negative feedback and move to the next bidder. No exceptions.
~ POSITIVE FEEDBACK will gladly be left for anyone who successfully completes a transaction with me in a timely and smooth manner. As a seller, I leave feedback after I am paid. As a buyer, I expect feedback after I have paid.~
~ DO NOT BID IF you have HIDDEN FEEDBACK or a distinctive pattern of NEGATIVE comments. Your bid will not be honored, and I will leave negative feedback for you if you do not honor my request.
I will request user contact info anytime
I feel the need, most especially if you have zero feedback, or if you retract a bid.
If you must retract a bid, please have the courtesy to
contact me with a explanation. Bid retraction, according to
Ebay rules, is to be used rarely, and only in extreme circumstances. ~
~ By bidding on my auction, YOU AGREE to the shipping charge listed in the description and my terms of sale. ~
~ Any and all ESCROW fees are to be paid by the BIDDER, *IF* the winning bidder requires use of this service. ~
~ NO RETURNS/REFUNDS. I am not Marshall Field's. I state clearly if there are any flaws, irregularities, and otherwise describe everything in minute detail.
I sell quality items and represent them as they are, with scans of
actual item wherever possible. Think and read carefully before you decide to place a bid, as auction sales are final. I encourage all bidders and
sellers to be very familiar with Ebay rules and guidelines. It makes things
so much easier on all of us! ~
