Carolyn Schiffhouer was born and raised in Southern California. At age 18 she moved to Western Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelors Degree.
She has had a life long interest in the Arts. “As far back as I can remember I have always had this inner desire to express feelings with my creativity. My search was always for a medium that “fit” me!”
After a short stint with poetry in High School, she began to explore the medium of Fiber, first with Macramé and finishing with Weaving. Her next move was to music and she performed professionally for about 7 years playing Celtic music on the Hammered Dulcimer.
Her interest in new art forms was the source of inspiration that lead her to computer-assisted design. “ Once I found graphic design using the computer I was hooked. The possibilities are endless!………..I see the computer as the 21st Century paint brush, a new medium with still unfulfilled potential. I believe that the Computer will have the impact on the art world in this century that the camera, or the style of Impressionists and Abstractionists had at the turn of the last century.”
