This is a work in progress so check back from time to time. In 2001 I didn't even have a computer but I am slowly learning my way around this thing. I was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. After the service I worked for several companys until I went to work for a food distributor in Los Angeles, California in the chemical division.I transfered to the Santa Barbara area where I lived for 11 years. I then transfered to St Louis, Missouri which is where I was forced to retire after 22 years with the company. The company was bought out and everyone with over 20 years (900 people) were retired. I did some contract work for the manufacturing division until that was sold. I went home and told my wife I was done and took up golf again. I had moved to a retirement comunity a few years earlier because I felt something like this was going to happen. The house was located on a golf course so I joined two leagues and played golf for three years and learned to build golf clubs. Then I lost my wife of 42 years and knew I was not the live alone kind so I gave my house to my mother-in-law who had lived with us for 35 years and got together with one of my wives best friends and a lady I have known since 1958. Her ex-husband was the bestman at my wedding and I was a groomsman at theirs. Her and I used to take the kids out to dinner and a movie together when our spouses were working, we have been good friends for many years, and no more then that. We all rode motorcycles together back then. Her ex and I are still good friends. We dated for a couple of months and then we got married in Las Vegas the last of December 2001. We flew to California and friends from there drove us to Las Vegas where we met up with other friends for the wedding. We spent New Years Eve in Los Angeles area and had a wild night. When we got back to Springfield and I talked my wife into retiring from the State of Illinois and we have been enjoying life together. We have had a great time with the 3 motorcycles I bought, a 1987 Venture w/trailer and 2 custom Intruders 1987 & 1999. Now because of my wives health we have to get out of the motorcycle faze of our lives and try something new. Well I am going to get a small bike just for me to play around with in my spare time. **04/2004** I sold my 2002 Dodge Ram and bought a 2004 Honda Hybrid gas/electric so I will have to find something close to home as my old GMC S15 W/200000 miles needs to stay close. No more running to Savannah, Georgia to pick up a bike. My Ram got around 7 miles to the gallon in town. My Honda gets 43 in town 40 on the highway. **Brought my golf clubs up from Missiouri, maybe I'll start playing again. What the hey, I'm retired, I can do anything I want. **06/2004** Well I have gone back to work part time as a courier for a bank. I was spending way too much on this computer. I am home by 3 PM so my wife and I still go out most every night. **04/2008** Well I got rid of the Honda Hybrid, it was getting hard for me to get in and out of it. I bought a new Honda Pilot as we have bought into the time share lifestyle and are traveling a lot now. Going off 1 to 2 weeks at a time and showing my wife some of the country that she has not seen. Taking my wives kids and her grandkids to Disneyworld. Having way too much fun! Just enjoying life!!!
