My Uncle Joe a graduate of the Air Force electronics course showed me Mad magasine and how to solder in 1966,he had kept the radio and tube amplifier he had constucted in the service,I was fascinated by these.Extensive/comprehensive knowledge of tube and solid state BASIC Electronics,self study and OTJ experience , this is ongoing and to stay current I do some part time work as a service technician in a friend's electronic service company as well as having my own service/sales electronics business.There he keeps an article about a 30's Cajun musician who was spanked for speaking French as a child and bought a portable PA amp that he would hook up to his truck Battery in order that his band could be heard(especially the accordian !)I at home have a self constructed bi-amped single end all tube system including tube crossover, regulated power supplies,horn speakers w/alnico magnets,have built and serviced hundreds of electronic thingies,notice as the Cajun musician started early electronic music in the 30's ,Vibrators are found in many households even today.I am a lapsed Catholic.

In 1969 I took up an interest in electric guitar playing(JIMI).I took up restoring vintage amplifiers (musical instrument/hi-fi)in 1980(after giving up Jazz theory for R&B / Soul).I have worked as a technician in the alternative energy market(system level)HI-END Audio,guitar and tube amp work.Also technical consultant to the fine area junk shops.At this point in life I been doing this long enough to be good at it.Meta-Gizmo.com says it all about audio,Steve Bench is Great if you are a DIY'r and EBAY is the BEST PLACE to Find ANYTHING !...More about Spanking Later.....Que'st'qe'c'est ?
