Rev War Uniform Button that I found metal detecting.....only 1 known to exist !

*** ABOUT ME ***
I have always had an interest in antiques and at the ripe old age of 4, began collecting coins & stamps. At seven I was introduced to Indian artifacts and within the next 4 years located eight virgin Indian encampments. At the age of ten I built my first metal detector to look for the house-hold pipes under the floor boards and even ventured down to the ocean beach a block down the street to find that "pirate loot" all kids read about and believe is burried within reach of their shovel !
I received my degree in Electronic Engineering in the 1980's and worked for the US Government in the design & building of circuit boards for our most sophisticated fighter jets.
I decided after about 10 years in solid-state Electronics that there was more fun things to do than sitting in a room without windows working on calculus equations, so started up an antiques business and will never regret that decision !
Since 1986 I have studied the field of military uniform buttons and recently co-authored the book "200 YEARS OF AMERICAN MANUFACTURERD JEWELRY & ACCESSORIES" with Suzanne Marshall which is an in-depth look at the button & jewelry business here in the US. I also was a contributer to the following uniform button books: 1) "MILITARY BUTTONS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION" by Don Troiani........2) "UNIFORM BUTTONS OF THE UNITED STATES" by Tice........3) "AMERICAN MILITARY BUTTON MAKERS & DEALERS" by Bill McGuinn.
