Since her early years in college, artist/designer, Janet W. Casey's passion has been in interpreting the musings, maxims, and wit of the human experience through her love of calligraphy. As she pens each beautiful letter on the page, she is reminded of two of her favorite quotes, "Letters are the symbols which turn matter into spirit." and "There is always a little life-blood in the ink we use."
Her collection of over 500 quotations, (began in 1963) include her own writings as well as authors as diverse as Da Vinci and Lucille Ball. Each print, from her original, is artfully married with pen and ink, watercolor, embossing, or paper collage.
