My family has always been very crafty and wonderfully imaginative, so it's no surprise that I have taken that road in my life. My mom brought crocheting and cross-stitching into my life at a very young age as well as cooking. I made so many pot holders I couldn't even begin to guess at just how many :-)

My grandmother brought sewing, quilting, knitting and of course more cooking into my life :-)

I was always tagging along wanting to do everything they did and loved the time we shared!

I have made several attempts to having my very own online store of items I have come up with and have success in doing so. I have changed the way I have done things in a small way. Instead of makinga lot of items and then selling them, I have slowed down and mainly do requests now.

Actually my sister came up with the name Melissa's Closet. She wanted a dress and while on the phone with her she asked "So what's in your closet?" I laughed and said "You know that would be a perfect name for my shop!" so that is where I came up with Melissa's Closet!
