Welcome to my site, CAC Baskets. My name is Christy, as a 12 year Longaberger Baskets collector I got started with e-bay as a buyer in my search for retired Longaberger Baskets. My house being over-stocked with baskets forced me to trim back my collecting and focus my energy on selling. It was actually my daughter, Danielle’s idea. She is 32, the mother of three boys and was buying and selling lightly used items that her boys needed to have and then well as they say “not so much”. Being so organized and vidual about it, she was actually able to keep those boys happy while also keeping her household budget in line. It was with her encouragement that I started to dabble in selling on eBay. I seemed to have gathered a small inventory of items that were never used. Brand spankin new purchases’ because it was a good deal and perhaps on sale and “How could ya not” or maybe a gift not needed. I started with auctions and my success was energizing to say the least. I then focused on children and their needs.

As an advocate for children with learning disabilities and an ambassador for Autism I knew there was a need for products and services that could help families. My mom was recently retired from the toy industry and she had a well of information that she was able to share. Since my professional career experience was in sales and marketing I had a good feel on how to find and price my inventory. So after developing a small business plan, on the back of a paper towel as it was, I was off and running. My market research team is comprised on my children 6 boys and 1 girl, my 3 grandsons and my nieces. My garage was set up for shipping and receiving as well as a inventory warehouse and soon became known to all as Nana’s eBay store. It’s a hoot, ah, so it is. We got so busy I had to hire a part time helper. So looking to my past, I contacted the young women who had lived with me as my children’s nanny. She was now a mom of her own with two girls. Looking for part-time employment that could work around the girls and their schedule, this was perfect. So that is us me, Seaneen, my boys, her girls and at times our very supporting husbands. We are humble and feel blessed for the opportunity to work at something we love and something that we can share with our kids. Thank You for stopping by.
