Tuscan Antiques began in December, 2006, when two friends put their talents and skills together to sell Italian and Tuscan antiques online. I (Angie) had experience selling random items on Ebay since 2003 and Mary (my very dear friend) had a shop that sold Italian antiques called Round Trip Imports. It was destiny that the two of us would team up, after all, we studied abroad together in Florence, Italy during college and both fell in love with everything about Italy. Today, Tuscan Antiques sells antique Italian and Tuscan wardrobes, desks, tables, chairs and chest of drawers. We also sell religious relics such as ex votos, crosses and tabernacles. We also carry antique iron chandeliers and vintage tole chandeliers. New and antique Italian pottery is also something we carry. Most of the items in Tuscan Antiques were selected by Mary on her many trips to Florence to obtain inventory for her physical location, Round Trip Imports. However, in February, 2008, I went back to Florence, for the first time since college, with Mary on a buying trip. It was wonderful to meet the fantastic vendors that Mary uses to purchase all of her truly unique and gorgeous things. There are a lot of people selling antiques today but what sets us apart is that we (or Mary) personally travel to Florence and hand-pick every item. This allows us to have the history and story of each and every piece. We feel when it comes to selling antiques online, there is no substitute for this. When our customers can only see pictures of a piece and read it's description, it helps if we can tell them a little more than the basic information about the piece, i.e., where it came from, how it was used, who used it, why does it have certain markings, etc. We get detailed information by talking with the vendors first hand (did I mention that Mary can speak Italian?) and pass that information on to our customers.

*PAYMENT:
Tuscan Antiques accepts Paypal and personal checks (may take 7-10 days to clear). Payment should be sent within 7 days of winning.
*SHIPPING:
Winning bidder pays for shipping. We use USPS for smaller items and Fed Ex and UPS for larger items. Most items should arrive within 3-8 business days. For larger furniture pieces, we use Plycon or Craters and Freighters. The delivery times on the larger pieces can take up to 3-4 weeks depending on the delivery location. *RETURNS:
Our goal is to have 100% customer satisfaction. We do our best to accurately describe and photograph every detail of a piece. However, we understand that things happen and sometimes a piece needs to be returned. Tuscan Antiques will accept returns for up to 30 days after purchase. The item must be returned in it's original condition (i.e., the condition in which it left our shop) to receive a refund. The item also must be shipped by a reputable shipper and with 100% insurance.
