Q: What are the installation manuals and CDs for?

Our installation manuals and CDs are intended to help install an aftermarket alarm or remote start system. Our manuals and CDs may not help install OEM alarms or diagnose certain problems with existing systems. Our manuals WILL NOT tell you how to program factory or aftermarket remotes.

Q: Will the installation manuals tell me how to program my remote?

No. Our installation manuals will not tell you how to program your remote.

Q: Will your installation manuals tell me how to bypass the clutch so I can install a remote start?

No. People have damaged their cars when the car rolled down a hill, rolled into a garage door, or rolled into another car in parking lots when the car was remote started and the vehicle was left in gear.  Trust us.  Even if you swear you never leave your car in gear, anyone else who may drive your car (spouse, friend, relative, mechanic) might. It doesn take much to cause several hundred dollar worth of damage.

Q: Will your manuals help me fix a problem I have with my existing alarm or remote start?

Possibly. Please email us before purchasing one of our products. This will help determine if one of our manuals will be of any help.

Q: Will your installation guides tell me step-by-step how to install an alarm or remote start?

Not exactly. The process to install an alarm or remote car starter can vary slightly from vehicle to vehicle or depending on the system being installed. Our installation manuals are written for the do-it-yourselfer and include install tips and hints, but our manuals also assume that the reader has some training or experience with electronics or working on cars.

Q: How hard is it to install an alarm or remote starter?

That depends. Some cars are more difficult than others. Some systems are more advanced than others. Also, without knowing your level of knowledge or experience, it impossible for us to determine if you can install an alarm or remote start. An alarm or remote starter is not impossible to install, but can be overwhelming for a beginner. We've found that a good rule of thumb is: if you can install a car CD player, speakers, amplifiers, gauges, or perform mechanical work on your car and have basic knowledge of electronics, you can probably install an alarm or remote start system.

Q: I bought one of your manuals and the wires aren where the manual says they should be. What should I do?

Email us. It possible that clarification may be needed on where to look or how to properly test your vehicle wiring. Also, in most vehicles, wiring can be found in several locations. Depending the trim level of your vehicle and if the wiring has been damaged or tampered with, wiring colors or locations may differ from the information in our manuals. This is extremely rare, and in most cases we can offer other options or solutions.

Q: Why should I pay for your installation manuals or CDs when I can find similar information cheaper, or for free?

We created the installation manuals and CDs we offer so we know the information contained in them. Bottom line, we know how to install car alarm and remote start systems and have years of experience doing so. We can answer your questions. Everyone who purchases an installation manual or CD from us receives technical support. This is something that you may not receive from other sellers or websites.

No, you will also need the installation manual for the system you are trying to install. Otherwise, you will not know what each wire on the alarm or remote starter will connect to.  Please email us anyway, we may be able to help you locate the manual for the alarm or remote starter you want to install.

Q: If I buy one of your installation manuals/CDs, can I resell it?

No. You do not have resale rights to our installation manuals or CDs.

Q: Is the information on the CD or does the CD provide links to websites?

No. All of the information is on the CD. You do not need to visit websites or have an internet connection to access the info in our manuals or CDs.
