I examine every piece of wood personally, and over time I will turn or make furniture from every specie of wood I sell and display them with the ebay ads to allow you to see the results of turning this wood. WHAT'S NEW....I HAVE INSTALLED A PROFESSIONAL DRY VACUUM STABILIZING SYSTEM FOR STABILIZING PEN BLANKS, KNIFE SCALES, REEL SEATS, ETC. THIS SYSTEM IS CALLED A DRY VACUUM BECAUSE BEFORE PUTTING THE STABILIZING MATERIAL IN THE TANK WITH THE WOOD, THE WOOD IS PUT UNDER VACUUM TO REMOVE ALL THE AIR. THIS REDUCES OR ELIMINATES BUBBLES. THE SYSTEM THEN PUTS THE ACRYLIC RESIN MATERIAL IN WITH THE WOOD AND INJECTS IT UNDER PRESSURE. THE STABILIZING MATERIAL IS THEN THERMAL CURED TO SET THE RESIN. THE BLANKS ARE NOW IMPERVIOUS TO WATER, CRACKING, OR OTHER DEGRADE. |

I am an internationally recognized ARTIST IN WOOD. I function primarily in the area of LATHE TURNED ART and also do carving. My home is in Spanish Fort, Alabama on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. Most of the items I sell on ebay, I have made or is my own personal property that I have used in my shop. I gather most of my own wood and sell some of it on ebay and through my web site to other turners. Most of this wood is salvaged trees that have been damaged from storms. I also work with Burls from Australia. I import enough to offer some of them for sale to other Woodturners and Woodworkers. My work is in private collections in the United States, Australia, Japan and Germany. I am represented in galleries and art shows all around the United States. In the past 8 years I have earned over 76 Art Show Awards including 5 BEST OF SHOW,9 FIRST PLACE OVERALL and numerous other awards. My work has been shown in national magazines and on television.
