It is with much regret that need to let everyone know, that the listings going up on March 28,2009 will be my last. At least my last for a while.
A little background. While I am a musician, professionally, I am a Computer Consultant. Independent since 1987. I started selling on Ebay for two reasons. One, to sell off some of the excess amount of songbooks/tab books I had accumulated over the years. Two, to help cover my rent as a Computer Consultant. All of the inventory was collected in my office. However, as of 1/1/09, I am now an employee of another company. They gave me approx. 3 months to clean out my excess inventory, which is why I have been giving stuff away with every shipment.
So it all comes to an end in the next two weeks. It's been great. I'm glad I got to do this for 5 plus years. Met many interesting people online along the way. Met a few real @#$@#^% too, but they were the exception, not the rule.
I may list things from time to time, as I still need to sell off some of my personal collection, as I will never get time to play all the songs in all the books I still own.
As a buyer, I always tried to pay promptly. When necessary, I was tough on sellers who tried to rip me off for excessive shipping, or who didn't properly describe the condition of what they were selling.
As a seller, I tried to keep shipping reasonable, even before I switched to free media mail. I tried to review all items carefully to make sure I was selling what I claimed to be selling. Most of the time, I let the auction process work, although I did on occasion list out of print books at higher prices. In short, I tried to be fair.
Thanks to all of you.
