A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS One thing I’ve always loved to do is shop . . . and one of my very favorite things to shop FOR is COACH . . . purses and totes, wallets, belts, scarves, gloves . . . you NAME it! From the time I began carrying a purse (waaaaaaayyyy back when!) I learned that you just can't compare the quality of a Coach to any other moderately and similarly priced handbag. Then eBay entered the picture and I was hooked. Now I am able to shop for the very BEST bargains and items that just can not be found anywhere else, do it all without venturing far from home, AND pass these great finds along to people like YOU! I began eBaying in June, 2000 and if truth be known, I still love it as much today as I did that very first time. LEFT A GOOD JOB IN THE CITY . . . For 17 years my career had been in the stock brokerage industry with the last 10 as Operations Manager of a regional retail brokerage office. I loved my job and I had developed quite an array of customer-service, sales, and administrative skills, as well as overseeing that my retail sales office adhered to the high ethical standards that the New York Stock Exchange demands. But the more I shopped on eBay, the more I knew that eBay selling is what I’d be doing once I retired. I LOVE to shop and by selling on eBay, I could still have the thrill of finding (and indulging in!) all the best deals around . . . and I'd now be able to pass my savings along to others! I thought about it often and although retirement was a LONG way off, I just couldn’t get it off my mind. After several years, it was time to stop daydreaming. It was a very bold move but I gave my notice, took an “early retirement” and started selling on eBay fulltime in November 2004! By January 2005, eBay recognized me as a PowerSeller. And in February 2005 they upgraded my PowerSeller membership to the next level. Now I'm a "Top-Rated Seller" as well. Now I really love what I do! I can make my own hours and can spend time with my husband (who IS retired). AND, I can finally put my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree to good use by creating professional-looking auction ads . . . not to mention my customer service, administrative and problem-solving skills from my brokerage career coming in handy. It can be hard work and very long hours but I’ve sure met some great people! One of the BEST pay-offs of all is working from home, having fun doing what I'm doing, and enjoying every minute of it. WHY COACH??? I LOVE what I sell and I STAND BEHIND what I sell. One of the very first things I learned while working in the stock market ~ and one of the principles I passed along to clients was to invest in companies you BELIEVE in. And the very same holds true for eBay selling. As a result I only sell items of those companies I believe in AND whose products I myself use. I don't work for any of the companies whose products I sell, nor am I a representative or affiliate of any of these companies, including Coach. But for me to only say "I believe in Coach" would be quite the understatement. Coach, Inc. began in New York City as a six-member family-run group of craftspeople more than 60 years ago. The American Classic, which was actually inspired by an all-American leather baseball glove, began with the creation of 12 simple handbags with well-balanced proportions and a timeless flair. Today there are hundreds of employees, yet Coach maintains the same standards of handcrafting leathergoods that were established back in 1941. Coach has developed several collections, evolving over the years by adding new leathers, shapes, colors and fabrications, but the durability, simplicity and American style embodies the very same principles of classic design as always. No matter what the product, if it’s authentic Coach you can be assured that it was crafted with expertise and a commitment to excellence. I have used, collected and loved Coach pieces for well over 25 YEARS now. Actually, one of the most difficult parts of what I do is resisting all that temptation . . . if I could, I'd keep at least one of every piece I sell! (Seriously, some bags are just SO hard to part with!) For inquiring minds who want to know, my first Coach bag was a Willis Bag and it was a British Tan. Today, I'd have to say my favorite Coach bag is my bottle green Bridgit and of course my old staple, a black Stewardess. I still LOVE Coach Classics, now called 'Coach Originals' and I've carried my Stewardess since 1992, and yep, it still looks GREAT! ABOUT AUTHENTICITY AND PURCHASING COACH FROM CatOnAHotPC @ Your COACH Awaits . . . If you purchase your COACH products from me, authenticity is always 100% guaranteed, 100% of the time, on every item I sell, without exception or 100% OF YOUR MONEY BACK. It's that simple. I have been an avid Coach collector and ardent fan since the early '80s. I will assure you that EVERY ONE of the Coach products I offer is AUTHENTIC Coach. I know this because I know where EVERY PIECE piece of my merchandise comes from. Every accessory I sell has been personally purchased by me directly from Coach or an authorized Coach Dealer. I maintain receipts to substantiate this statement and more importantly, you have my WORD on it. Unlike some other high-quality leathergoods companies, Coach does not readily market 'irregulars' or otherwise defective merchandise. They DO have Coach Factory Stores where they sell newly discontinued Coach styles and/or fabrics as well as overstock. As opposed to an outlet, the accessories in a Coach Factory Store are new, 100% authentic Coach, free from blemishes & imperfections, and are not defective in any way. To the detriment of many of us honest eBay sellers, the number of new counterfeit sellers is on the rise. To make matters worse, this new breed of counterfeiter often falsely claims their products to be authentic. This is not only against eBay policy, it is against the law. Actually, selling just $1,000 worth is a felony. We all know this is illegal if the seller intentionally deceives the public, but did you know it's also against the law if the sellers themselves have been deceived and believe their item to be authentic? According to eBay, selling any replica, knock-off or counterfeit item is a violation, period. Even if you SAY it's a fake. And, if you ship your fake through the U.S. Postal Service you may also be guilty of Mail Fraud, yet another crime. That's why every seller needs to know exactly where their merchandise originates from. BUT HOW CAN YOU AS A COACH BUYER BE SURE??? There are lots of places on eBay where you can find some good information on counterfeits and fakes, including a more comprehensive ebay Guide I have written. I encourage you to take the time to read my Guide entitled, Your AUTHENTIC COACH Awaits! Buying REAL Coach on eBay. If you're considering purchasing Coach on eBay I think you'll find it pretty informative. (Please note that clicking the above link ~or ANY of the links in my 'Me' Page~ will open up a new browser window for you.) A few summarized tips for buying only authentic Coach on eBay: As the saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. It pays to heed that age old adage and there’s never been a better place than eBay in which to apply those words. While low starting prices alone don’t necessarily scream fake, an auction having a too-good-to-be-true buy-it-now price, or, an inordinately low reserve price should ALWAYS be examined carefully. The research is all up to you and you've GOT to do your homework. Read and compare. Do your research BEFORE you bid or buy. Only bid on or purchase items that the seller guarantees to be authentic. That makes sense, right? Although it sounds like a given, there are actually a lot of sellers out there who knowingly sell counterfeits but draw the line at putting that claim in writing! It just may not be a simple oversight when the authenticity-factor is left out of the listing. LOOK for a statement ~ at least the mere mention ~ of authenticity. In my listings I say it and say it and say it again. In a venue such as eBay it just doesn't make sense for any seller who is selling authentic Coach not to address authenticity within their listing. And, buy only items with which you are familiar. Not only are most replicas of poor workmanship, they are often mass-produced in styles, fabrics, and/or colors that Coach has never even used or in combinations of styles, fabrics and colors that Coach has never coupled together. If you know your product, you can often avoid this. With shoddily made counterfeits, the quality may be such that seams are puckered, signature “CC”s are not centered or matched up correctly, stitching is uneven, the hardware is tinny, and on and on and on. You can often detect this in photos but ONLY if you DO . . . YOUR . . . HOMEWORK. Check the photos to ensure you will be receiving the actual item that is pictured. Counterfeiters often use what are called 'stock photos' from the Coach website or site of a high-end department store. These stock photos are those that the manufacturer has taken in a studio photo-shoot for use on their website, in their catalog, or for use by authorized distributors. Be wary of listings containing only one such stock photo with no pictures of the actual item you will be receiving. It may mean that the seller is attempting a bait-and-switch and the actual item is grossly different from that which you will receive. Look for multiple shots of the actual item you will receive. Buy from a trusted and reputable seller. Regardless of whether you buy from me or buy from another seller, be sure to read the seller’s Feedback and look at the seller's Detailed Seller Ratings (or the gold stars, also known as DSRs). Did you know that a seller's negative and neutral feedback may easily be seen at a glance and on a single page? Check out www.toolhaus.org. Another such site for monitoring a seller's Detailed Seller Ratings may be found at www.DSRwatch.com. Both of these are handy tools to have so you'll want to bookmark these pages. And not only is it important to purchase your item from an established seller that has a high percentage of positive feedback, it's equally important to READ that seller's positive feedback. Many times comments left in reference to authenticity are buried within these positives. Ask questions. If after reading the listing you have any unanswered questions ~ ASK! A reputable seller should be more than happy to oblige. I work very hard on my listings so I may EARN your confidence. I take great pride in every item I offer...and I take this care in my listings in order that I might further demonstrate authenticity thus setting myself apart from the counterfeiter. Granted not all sellers do this ~ even the sellers who like me, sell authentic items so you need to ASK! If you don’t receive answers, or, if you receive answers that are not quite right, don’t bid! READ MY GUIDE! I REALLY don't get anything out of people reading my guide, honestly I don't. I took the time to write this painfully time-consuming, extremely detailed and incredibly comprehensive Coach authenticity GUIDE as my own small way of fighting Coach counterfeiting which I find quite deplorable, absolutely despicable and sadly, if truth be known, running completely RAMPANT on eBay. That being the case, regardless of WHERE you purchase your Coach . . . from me . . . from another seller, that doesn't matter. WHEREVER you buy Coach . . . IF you buy Coach, I encourage you, READ MY GUIDE!!! (Besides, it'll make me FEEL good!) MY CORE VALUES I’ve always had a good work ethic and I pride myself on this new little eBay business of mine. JUST A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME... God has blessed me beyond all good measure! My husband and I just celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and we have a large, close-knit family that includes six happily married step-children and 15 incredible grandkids that my husband (thankfully!) allows me to share with him! With 29 of us we have some REALLY big summertime pool parties and even BIGGER Christmases! Although I’m not yet officially of retirement age, my husband is, which gives him the opportunity to really help me in my business. We complement each other perfectly . . . his entire LIFE was spent in sales so I teach him about eBay, computers and women’s accessories ~ and he coaches me on the finer points of selling! Not only do my husband and I hand pick every item, but each article is inspected thoroughly by both of us at the time of purchase and examined again prior to being shipped. My interests include family (especially being a Grammy)! Jesus is EVERYTHING to me. Besides eBaying I also enjoy shopping, singing, swimming, reading, the beach and traveling. We're active in our Church and we love, love LOVE Southern Gospel music! In addition to Southern Gospel, my iPod is full of Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Carole King, James Taylor, a bunch of country and lots and LOTS of The Beatles. Oh, and if you can EVER get to a Paul McCartney concert, GO!!! I literally (as in LITERALLY!) waited 43 years to see him and it was SO much worth the wait. I have a Fine Arts degree but I love crafts too. After a 15 year break I'm finally picking up my cross stitch again. And while I used to play a looooooong time ago, one day soon I'm hoping to re-teach myself to play the guitar. My 'CatOnAHotPC' name was inspired by a deaf, epileptic street rescue we cared for and loved from the time she was four weeks old. Pandora was always a very sickly little cat who actually survived FIP (a terrible kitty-killer of a disease) as a baby. She ended up with brain damage, needing a lifetime of special care and medicine twice a day for her seizures. She was ALWAYS freezing and toasting herself atop our PC monitor, thus the eBay name. Quite a few vets and veterinary neurological specialists told us she wouldn't live very long. She died in 2008. She was 18. So Pandora is finally warm, forever to bask in the sun at Rainbow Bridge. (And although we never had the heart to while she was alive, we were finally able to get a flat screen monitor!) As for now, we have two kitties also who both are rescues. We adopted Ivy, destined to be a 'barn cat', at 6 weeks of age. She's our feisty, beautifully-marked black & taupe tabby who is affectionate (but on her terms only). As it was the only life she knew at first, Ivy is a PRIZE huntress outdoors. Indoors, she drinks water right out of the bathroom faucet! Elisha (a male Biblical name pronounced ee-LYE-sha) is a cuddly, snuggly, lovey-dovey, gorgeous long-haired buff tabby we adopted from the shelter. Although we know he spent some time on the streets, he's VERY spoiled now and wouldn't go outside again even if you PAID him! He LOVES people . . . ALL people . . . to the point of being very NEEDY. The only problem is that he hates other felines, including Ivy, with a passion! If he SEES her, he will KILL her. Together these two somewhat neurotic, psychologically-dependent, and emotionally-challenged cats give "dysfunctional home" a whole new meaning. PLEASE take the time to READ the entire description, CHECK all dimensions, VERIFY all sizes and quantities, and ASK any questions prior to purchasing or bidding. After receiving it, I will issue a refund in the amount of your original purchase price less a 20% restocking fee. In all cases, payments must be received within THREE days. If your purchase has not been paid for and you've neither responded nor contacted me within 3 days the item may be re-listed.
