CROCHET PASSION!

I have been in love with crochet since my early "teens", and so it is I've been crocheting for decades.  As NANCY BROWN, Designer, I have enjoyed several years of experience as a professional crochet designer, author, and teacher.  I have had the privilege of having designs published in such publications as Crochet Fantasy and Crochet! And have designed for yarn companies as well as garment manufacturers.

The Crocheter's Companion, one of a series of "companion" books from Interweave Press is my most recent publication.  This instructional handbook is designed to teach a novice the basic stitches and help any crocheter continue on through a completed project.  I also have in publication the best selling book, Crochet A Dozen Hats .

As past president of the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA),  my goal is to further the interests of crochet as an expressive art form and to preserve this time honored craft for future generations.  Having been involved in this organization of avid crocheters for 16 years, I have served as a volunteer in many capacities.
