A unique mounting of a mexico City 4 Reale Who we are: Hello and welcome to my little niche at eBay. I am a partner in Coconut Beach a web site geared towards Jimmy Buffett fans, a/k/a parrotheads. We carry colorful Caribbean Soul T-shirts (themed to Buffett songs), beach towels and swim trunks, as well as Key West Aloe products and Jimmy Buffett memorabilia. Spanish Treasure I have been "hooked" on the lure of sunken treasure since I was a child. I had the opportunity to meet Mel Fisher aboard his floating shop in Key West during the late 70's. I was amazed at what I saw and what happened while I was there. They took out some finger bars (small gold bars) for me to hold and a very long gold chain which was wrapped around my shoulders and neck. Don't you know what that does to a young, impressionable boy? That started my quest for treasure. Around about the same time, my father gave me my first Spanish Cob, a 4 Reale from the 1715 fleet. Unfortunately he passed up the opportunity to buy several gold 8 Escudos for about $100 a piece!!! I have been collecting Reales every since. Through my transactions on eBay, I have met other collectors/dealers and have been able to expand my collection. I have also been able to offer several pieces on eBay and on our web site.
