C.B. Perkins is a family-owned guitar shop, located in the San Francisco bay area; San Jose to be specific!
Charles Blaine Perkins, our grandfather, started the business in 1923. Charles was a man of many talents, doing everything from teaching school to repairing furniture. He began repairing instruments for his school, and that is how he got into the music business. He eventually began building his own guitars, and taught his son, Kent, the trade.
Over the years, C.B. Perkins has grown into a retail shop as well, and we continue to do stringed instrument repairs and customization. We carry quality instruments, and are choosy about the lines we sell in our shop. We serve all price ranges, offering the best instrument for every level of player, and always great customer service.

We're excited about moving our business online, and we take pride in offering the same level of service to our online customers as we do at our brick-and-mortar store.
