cds49753 I have been collecting stamps since grade school days when my father thought it wise for me to spend my allowance on something other than candy and junk. About 45 years later, I am still at it. Early day memories of stamp collecting include walking a mile each way to the local city stamp/coin store on Saturday mornings, and attending the city stamp club meetings on Wednesday nights, or the best was to take the public transit bus for $0.50 or less to Downtown Detroit's J.L Hudson building. The Stamp Department was on the mezzanine of this classy building that was demolished some years ago. An unfortunate decision in the name of urban development. I try to offer stamps for all collecting budgets, so beginning collectors and advanced collectors can find an item to fill that open space in their stamp album. I try to offer detailed descriptions to include some history, catalog values, known faults, and pictures. I want winning bidders to be pleasantly surprised with purchases.
