You have found the Chairman's home page.I, Richard Jelley started wargaming in 1976 and Roleplaying in 1978-9. As soon as Warhammer appeared on the market, I had the armies to play it - the Good Ol' Days when there were more figure manufacturers to pick from, some as good, and some definitely not so good.
After getting into 15mm Napoleonics, I vowed never to buy expensive Fantasy miniatures again!
Then I had my two sons, Luke the "Elf Lord" and Peter "Dwarfmaster" and guess what happened - YUP! So now, totally hooked by fantasy miniatures, I trade on this excellent vehicle - eBay!
Luke my eldest son, collects both WH40K and WH. His favourites are: Blood Angels and Elves.
He has become a cracking painter, so much so that he now paints for my clients as well as for eBay. As he gets better with his digicam, you will see how he is mastering the techniques that took me 25 years to learn. He paints much better than I do!! - Thanks for reading this, it will give you an insight into us, your trader. Chairman.52nd . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Well this was written a few years ago. I've now been re enacting for 14+years. First with the Diehards (57th Middlesex) 1880's Group. Then 10 years ago (1998) I started the 52nd Oxfordshire Light Infantry, a group that reconstructs drill from 1807. My new project is the 2nd Battalion, The Essex Regiment of 1939-40. Just in it's infancy at the moment - but I hope to get a 8 strong Rifle section going.
Up to 7 so far, with regular training in Drill and Arms. Next comes manoeuvres, Field Craft and then some shows. September 2009, we've got the section. Have a look at: www.2ndessexbef.org.uk
