Midnight and Sunshine

Georgina Bedwell is a young(ish) emerging Canadian artist. She has been selling on-line and locally since 2006. Georgina is mostly self taught but her graphic design schooling did include some drawing instruction. She's best known for her cat characters Midnight (the white cat) and his black cat girlfriend Sunshine, though when the mood strikes she does take on projects in other styles. When not painting, Georgina can be found working her "day job", hanging out with friends/family, entertaining dogs or watching questionable amounts of TV.
Questions frequently asked of Georgina.
Q: Is Midnight real?
A: Yes and No. He's inspired by my first real cat who was not named Midnight and was a tabby cat. I choose to make him white because its easier to paint then stripes.
Q: Where do you get inspiration from?
A: Mostly from animals, especially cats. I've noticed that some of the funniest things they do are also the naughty things they do. Thats why Midnight is so often up to no good.
Q: What happened to your book?
A: It's progressing slowly. Who knew how much time it would take to complete a book in my "spare time". I have given up giving people a timeline. I work on it when I can fit it into my routine. I like to have some art available for sale too, so I have to juggle a bit.
