| Welcome to our store! We specialize in hand-painted, molded chocolates, as well as supplies for candies, cookies and cakes. We have dozens molds so email us if you have a specific chocolate creation in mind and do not see it in our store.
Hours are Monday-Saturday 8-6, we normally do not answer emails on Sunday..a day of rest!

Welcome to Concepts in Chocolate

Thank you for taking the time to read about Concepts in Chocolate. Being a southern girl and from a long line of southern cooks, my love for cooking came at an early age and spending hours in the kitchen with my great-grandmother. I remember the first time she showed me how to make biscuits...I had to stand on a old wooden coke crate to reach the table...but I rolled those biscuits to perfection! I have always loved being in the kitchen--cooking or baking something. I finally decided in 2002 to get some formal training at the local University, so I enrolled in Culinary School where I fine tuned my cooking and baking skills and earned the right to wear a chef's hat. I started out catering but my passion was in baking and chocolates. I was invited to a birthday party of the lady who gave me my first catering job. I couldn't attend so I sent her a beautiful chocolate seashell box filled with mint shells, well she loved it and so did her friends and co-workers and as they say the rest is history! I started getting in orders for Easter and the orders continued to come in. So I decided to open up an eBay store and my first order was those seashell boxes--250 of them! I love doing seashells as favors or cake decorations. I continue to add to my line of seashell creations. We recently added to our store supplies so you can make your own creations. We are always willing to answer your questions about how to make chocolates, just drop us a line.
A little about me: I have married been over 22 wonderful years to a man who loves my cooking and baking! We have a beautiful 21 year old daughter who is studying Criminal Justice and a handsome 20 year old son who is still trying to find his path in life! My family supports me 110% and encourages me to continue my dream of opening my own storefront. It sometimes gets overwhelming working from another kitchen, hauling things back and forth but I know when the time is right God will open that door for me..until then I will continue to serve my eBay customers and the locals. At the beginning of 2009 we are planning to have our own website as well as the eBay store. We will offering more stuff on our website so be sure to check out our eBay store and our website www.conceptsinchocolate.com which is under construction at this time. We hope you will drop in! Update May 11, 2009: We are now a storefront!!!! We are located at 7703 Saint Andrews Road, Suite C, Irmo, SC 29063. We are putting the finishing touches on the store but you can call us for supplies and chocolate 803-422-7990 to be picked up. Thank you!! Debbie & Bruce
