The Real US

I first became interested in Ceramics about 10 years ago. My husband came home from work one night and asked, "How would you like to do Ceramics" I thought he meant take a class! NO! he meant buy a Ceramic Business. I knew nothing about ceramics, but said, "I guess we could try." Thus began my ceramic adventure.

We began going to every ceramic store we could find and gathering a little bit of knowledge from each shop owner, even on vacation in Florida. We continued to buy out people, buy molds from companies, read and learn all we could about the ceramics business. Since then We have accumulated over 6000 ceramic molds, two pouring tables, 5 kilns and set up a large studio in our home. We have become very knowledgeable and have over 10 years experience. I do oil painting and the transition to ceramics was easy. I love to paint ceramics and I sell my finished items at craft shows, when I have the time. All items for sale in my store are poured, cleaned, and fired by me and my hubby, Al. Al & I both pour the items and I do the cleaning. I am fussy! We do all this from our home in Michigan, we do not have a store front building, we just have a home studio and a LARGE garage filled with ceramic molds. I, Cheri, maintain our store and am willing to answer and help anyone with a question about painting or a finishing particular item or locating an item for you. We truly love this business!
