Squirrel's Trading Company was formed from what was once Squirrel's Gun Repair in Bedford, Kentucky.  I use my high school nickname "Squirrel."  I look at the name now and see the squirrel as quick and thrifty.  I decided to start my business as a trading company so I can decide to offer one line of merchandise or several items.  I am currently selling Dutch Ovens and supplies for the Dutch Ovens along with offering some timely advice.

I got started with Dutch Ovens years ago because I wanted an everything pot.  I love to cook and have experimented with various cookware.  I have recently received gifts of Lodge brand cookware and accessories for the home.  I use my Camp Dutch Ovens, which are by Lodge,  for cooking indoors or outdoors.  Though these pots have feet, it doesn't mean they can't be used in your oven to keep food hot or for cooking a casserole.  So just don't use them for camping, use them all the time.

My name is Frank Merola and I am the proprietor of Squirrel's Trading Company.  Most of the time I spend in front of the computer communicating with friends and family.  I enjoy cooking and using my Dutch Ovens even though I don't always have a fire or charcoal burning to cook my food but I use them indoors and out.  I am owned by two large but spoiled dogs.  One is either a shepherd or boxer and labrador mix and the other is a black chow.  They keep me company and I love taking care of my dogs.

I am currently working three jobs.  I work for Purnell Sausage Company, Meijer Stores and my own business on eBay.  I love to watch to see how our sausage business is doing and it makes my job rewarding at the sausage plant after seeing how customers enjoy our products.  In my store, I like to give tips on how to use the products I sell as well as care for them.  Most of what I sell is stocked.
