An Introduction to me - and my chemo hats.


I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer on August 16, 1999.  Treatment for IBC is extremely aggressive and as a result, I was no longer able to work in my previous field. I began sewing chemo hats  (and Comfort Pockets - a Post Mastectomy Product to assist you in dealing with post surgical drains) and selling them on eBay.  I loved the creativity of designing and sewing, more than that, though, I love the opportunity I am given to reach out to other women dealing with cancer.

 

Many women have asked if I donate a portion of my sales to charity.  How I wish I could!  I am my own charity...these hats put food on our table.  Like many, my long bout with breast cancer has devasted our financial resources. Thus, your purchase is helping this survivor to survive - and for this, you have my profound appreciation.
