"We" are Christy and Gary or "The Love of Wine Store." For years we
discussed starting our own business - and finally did it! The premise
behind our business is -- we admit it -- we love nice things. And no --
neither of us was born with that silver spoon in our mouths! We DO
believe in hard work and going after what you love -- things that make
life just a bit more comfortable, fun and exciting. We began with eBay auctions, and eventually moved on to an eBay store, and are now the proud owners of

At the same time, we're like everyone else -- the years go by and they
DO catch up with you! We found ourselves very interested in those
things in life that are enjoyable AND healthy. What better way to live
this life than in a comfortable, fun, exciting AND healthy way?
That's why we try to concentrate our products on three things: (1)
quality; (2) enjoyment; and (3) health.
Our flagship products are Riedel crystal and glassware. When we met we
were a mixed bag when it came to wine. Christy had some background
and knew a little about it, but really never delved into anything
remotely expensive! Gary was a novice -- wine? Why would I drink that stuff?
That was until Gary had a wine "epiphany" and discovered that he
loved wine -- he just loved GOOD wine! So began a journey to discover
excellent wines, at the best prices possible of course.
After many years of collecting wine from all over the world, we started
testing different glassware with our wines. We can honestly and
without a doubt say two things: (1) "the glass makes the wine" and (2) the
winners hands-down are the Riedel designs.
Trust us -- we wanted to believe, like everyone, that it didn't matter
what you spent for crystal or glass, the taste would be same. Well,
that's simply not true. try it yourself and you will see that the Riedel
Wine and Ouverture series enhance the wine's characteristics; Vinums
and Vinum Extremes take it one step beyond, really concentrating the
particular wine's identity; and Riedel Sommeliers turn your wine into pure

Our constant search for all things wine, and all things QUALITY wine has lead us into ever changing directions. For example, in creating a wine cellar, we found that wine art is actually VERY difficult to come by. There is a lot of "junk" out there, but little that is really of high quality, or different or unique. Our own exploration has lead us to carry some rather unique art and wine rack pieces. Our personal favorites are the Vinum Extreme Series - yes - we use them all!
As it seems to be with many wine lovers, our second great love is coffee. We found that
what was true of wine was equally true of coffee. We've tried every
coffeepot under the stars (finally settled on a Capresso), and every
specialty coffee (we love Illy!) but never thought about the glass or mug
having any real affect on the enjoyment of the coffee. But we were wrong!
Bodum glassware changed our minds. This fascinating brand initially
appealed to our sense of design. It's Danish, contemporary, trendy,
fun, and the winner of numerous international design awards; but who knew
it would also improve the experience of that first cup of coffee in
the morning or that after-dinner espresso in the evening? Yet it does.
The experience of this light, yet comfortable, insulated glassware is
impossible to describe - writing copy for our auctions is frustrating,
because you just have to try it to really understand why it's
