Nestled in the Cascade Foot Hills in Washington State is a small horse and garden farm called Claddagh Farm. The population of the farm has dwindled considerably recently and is currently home to two humans who are allowed occupancy by the dogs and other numerous critters who run the place and of course by ushe horses.
The lady who cares for the population of VIA (Very Important Animals) has the most curious hobby. She collects old glass and crystal. It seems to make her very happy. Over the years, we have watched her collection grow and grow.
She used to leave the farm every day and go to something she called an office. We missed her when she was gone all day but we heard her say that how she paid for the hay so it seemed pretty important to us to allow her to go.
Then she didn come home for a few days and when she didwhy she was a mess. Bandages all over and she didn come out of the house or out to the barn for a long time. When she finally came out she walked funny. We heard her say she would never be able to ride horses again. That made all of us pretty sad.
Then we heard the humans talking that she would buy glass and do something called IDing ithat ever that means. They said it would be therapy for her to try to get her motor skills and memory working again. Well, we never knew she had a motor. And if she did, we certainly didn't know it was broken.
Pretty soon there was a lot of glass stuff around the house. The delivery truck drove down the driveway a lot. We know because we like to run up and down the pasture when they deliver, just to let them know who owns the place.
We heard the humans say she better sell some to make room for more. That makes no sense to us at all but after all they are humans and they don have horse sense like us.
Now the delivery trucks drop boxes off and picks boxes up. We see a lot of pretty fancy glass things in there. We hope you buy some of this tufffrom her. She needs room so she can buy more.
Well, just as long as we have plenty of haywe guess it Ok with us.
